Truman and Tiffany Boulders Beach proposal
On the 2nd September 2019, Truman asked the love of his life to marry him, she said yes!
Truman wanted to pop the question on the famous Boulders Beach in Simons Town. Tiffany is a lover of animals, especially penguins. She has always wanted to visit Cape Town and see these fascinating creatures in person. As Boulders Beach is one of the most popular tourist destinations we had to play around with this idea so they could get some privacy. We used the beach area to hang up a ‘marry me’ sign. There were lots of personal details added which we will mention later.
They live in San Francisco and came to explore Cape Town while on holiday. They have been together for 2,5 years and counting. They meet at work and have been in love ever since. Her favourite song is Africa by Toto thus he wanted their proposal story to include a part of “Africa”.
On the day we found a quiet beach spot to place our sign. We had to include leopard print for the animal theme. He also asked that we print out pictures of their cat and new puppy. These pictures we placed on sticks to use as props. To complete the African vibe we used proteas and fynbos for flowers. We also brought in a stuffed toy giraffe and zebra to give to their puppy on their return. We had so much fun thinking of exciting ways to incorporate this wonderful African theme.
When they arrived, they first went to the viewing deck to see the penguins. Then finally made it to the beach where a penguin came to say hello on arrival. We met them at the entrance, pretending to be their ‘tour guide’. We handed over binoculars for her to see the “penguins”. Truman pointed in the direction of where to look and soon saw the “marry me” sign. She was so surprised, he got on his knee and popped the question!!
What a magical day at Boulders Beach. Lesley captured their big day on film and took them exploring to find more penguins to take photos with.
Truman and Tiffany Boulders beach proposal was so much fun! Congratulations on their engagement.
