On the 10th August 2019, Gerrie and Kalizma got engaged.
Don’t you just love this time of year? Spring has sprung, you can feel the beautiful freshness in the air and smell the fragrance after the rain on the new blooms. The days are getting longer and the sunrises are getting more beautiful by the day – there is no better time to plan a perfect proposal!

Our clients brief was that he wanted ‘a scenic picnic that incorporated a photographer to capture the moment’ for when he proposed to his girlfriend of two years. They flew off in a helicopter whilst taking in a scenic route along the coast before heading inland to the landing area. While the picnic spot was getting set up and the feast laid out for them, they took a leisurely stroll to admire and absorb the breathtakingly beautiful views all around them and this was when Gerrie took the opportunity to go down on bended knee and ask Kalizma, the love of his life, to be his wife! SHE SAID YES!
Our photographer who had joined them on the flight under false pretences, of course, had been discretely taking pictures along the route now officially joined them in order to capture some beautiful moments of them enjoying this very special and romantic occasion while frolicking “on top of the world”. The proposal and engagement photoshoot definitely captured the essence of this very exciting time in their lives as they basked in their obvious love for each other.
They then sat down to enjoy a delicious picnic of chips & dip, cheese and biscuits, samosas, muffins & cupcakes, strawberries and of course Champagne to celebrate and toast the momentous occasion!
Gerrie and Kalizma mountain proposal was so enjoyable for us to plan and we wish them both well on this wonderful journey, may they experience a lifetime filled with much joy, love and happiness together. Congratulations on your engagement!
