Tinswalo Atlantic marriage proposal

On the 13th of August 2021, Laverne and Pranya got engaged.

We absolutely LOVED this proposal, it was magical! Everything was just perfect. Thank you Jodi for catching these moments beautifully and Coral for providing amazing floral art.

This lovely couple has been together for one year and met on Social media. Don’t you just love the future of dating, we do 🙂 They live and work in Joburg, and came down to Cape Town for the weekend. There were some initial date changes due to COVID but everything worked out in the end.

Laverne, had quite a clear idea of what he wanted, a true romantic at heart. These were his ideas:

She would love this arch effect with beautiful, neutral, soft flower colours combined with the stunning backdrop and soft lanterns/candles. The neutral table cloth is also something she’d love.
Given her creative eye, visual nature, and her love for beautiful settings/spaces, I would want to recreate this for her.
We would love to have dinner together in this setting after I propose. I will choose the meals in advance so that these can be made and brought to the dinner set in our room.
We would walk into this beautiful setting (with a photographer catching pics of us while she’s unaware that he/she is there) and I would say something special to her followed by me getting down on one knee and popping the question.

The above is exactly how their proposal happened. We used Tinswalo Atlantic as the chosen venue, he booked to stay over and we used one of the bigger rooms to decorate as the proposal area. On arrival, they walked into the room, where Jodi captured their proposal. The flowers were unbelievable with the setting, it looked amazing. During the couple shoot, we changed the set up to a table & chairs, lit candles, and turned on the lighting. It changed the whole scene so when they came back into the room for dinner, she got another surprise.
