Ryan and Denushka Tinswalo proposal

On the 1st February 2021, this lovely couple got engaged!

Ryan contacted us as he wanted to plan THE PERFECT PROPOSAL for the love of his life. They have been together for 9 years and it was time to “take the leap”. We were so excited as he booked to stay at one of our favourite venues, Tinswalo Atlantic. This magical oasis is hidden in the cliffs of Hout Bay, they have one access road down to the lodge which is on the beachfront. A stunning spot for any romantic event. It is even more exciting now, as Chefs Warehouse has come on board and does all the catering.

Ryan and Denushka live and work in Joburg. They meet during their school years and stayed together ever since. Her favourite flowers are orchids, so these were included in the decor.

As Tinswalo is one of our favs, they upgraded this lovely couple to the Presidental Suite. This suite has the most amazing views of the ocean and surrounding areas. Cape Town weather was not playing along that day, so instead of using the beach, we had to move the idea inside. This was not a “bad” thing as the suite is incredible.

We set up our “marry me” sign and lots of orchids & candles alongside the sign. The views of the ocean and mountain were the backdrop. They enjoyed a delicious lunch, then quietly wandered to their room to settle in for the afternoon. Little did she know that we had been setting up while they were having lunch.

On arrival, Denushka was blown away… Ryan walked her to the “proposal spot” and popped the question. She said YES! Smiles, hugs, giggles… a lovely reaction!
