Marcela and Matt celebrated their love with an intimate winter wedding at La Roche in Franschhoek, surrounded by 45 of their closest family and friends. It was a day that beautifully blended Marcela’s Brazilian warmth with Matt’s British charm, creating a celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

The day began in the Manor House, where Marcela got ready in elegant surroundings, setting the perfect tone for what was to come. Guests gathered at The Sanctuary for the ceremony,  a truly magical venue that provided a serene setting as the couple exchanged vows.

For the reception, every detail was carefully curated. AVZ Décor transformed the space with soft draping and romantic touches, bringing warmth and intimacy to the winter celebration. The feast table, created by Annalize Catering, was a showstopper, abundant, inviting, and the perfect centrepiece for guests to gather around and enjoy.

Entertainment played a big role in creating the atmosphere. Live singers called The Blondies set a relaxed yet celebratory mood during pre-drinks, while Kirya the saxophonist added energy and flair to Marcela and Matt’s grand entrance. Rather than walking in, they chose to dance their way into the reception, a joyful moment that immediately set the tone for the night.

From there, the celebration flowed effortlessly. Guests filled the dance floor as the DJ Dario kept the energy high, and the evening carried on with music, dancing, and connection long into the night.

Marcela and Matt’s wedding was a wonderful reminder of how intimate weddings can be just as impactful as large celebrations. Congrats to the happy couple.

On the 28th of February 2025, this splendid couple got married.

When love crosses oceans, it deserves a celebration to match — and that’s exactly what Michaela and Ryan gave their guests this February with a breathtaking three-day wedding celebration in Cape Town. Flying in from the UK, the couple gathered their closest friends and family for an unforgettable destination wedding at Hawksmoor Manor in Stellenbosch.

Day One: The Welcome Braai

The festivities started with a relaxed South African tradition — a pre-wedding braai. As the Cape sun began to dip behind Table Mountain, guests sipped local wines and gathered around the fire, enjoying grilled delights and reconnecting. It was the perfect way to settle into the warm, welcoming rhythm of the week.

Day Two: The Wedding Day

On the second day, it was the wedding day! Michaela walked down the aisle in a truly special gown — her mother’s vintage wedding dress, lovingly restored and glowing with sentiment and style. It was a touching nod to family history and a beautiful symbol of new beginnings. The wedding was filled with fun, laughter, and love.

The ceremony was in front of the barn, which was a perfect setting and in the shade, shielding guests from the heat of Stellenbosch. Guests enjoyed live music and food stations during pre-drinks, it ended with guests dancing and jamming to the sax players music.

As the sun set, guests dined al fresco, enjoying world-class Cape wines and locally inspired cuisine. They opted for platter to tables, which Table Seven executed perfectly. The vibe was electric, from hilarious speeches, to African dancing and many many cheering. The guests danced late into the night to celebrate this amazing couple.

Day Three: The Pool Party

With spirits still high, the party continued in a laid-back pool party that perfectly captured the couple’s fun-loving nature. The weather continued to shine, and so did everyone’s smiles. With cocktails in hand, feet in the water, and panoramic views all around, the party was a joyful exhale after a weekend full of love and laughter.

An Unforgettable Celebration

Michaela and Ryan’s wedding was more than just an event, it was an experience. Every detail reflected their journey and personalities. Cape Town will forever hold a special place in their story, and for everyone lucky enough to attend, it was a week they’ll never forget.

On the 4th of February 2025, this lovely couple got married!

Nestled in the heart of the Stellenbosch / Franschhoek wine region, Vrede en Lust Estate was the chosen venue for a magical wedding. Surrounded by lush vineyards and sweeping views of the mountains, Jasmine and Hayden, a lovely couple from New Zealand, celebrated their love with an intimate gathering of 40 close family and friends.

The couple, along with their guests, stayed at the Vrede en Lust Manor House, a spacious and luxurious residence that provided the perfect backdrop for the wedding weekend. Its elegant rooms and welcoming atmosphere allowed Jasmine and Hayden to soak in the estate’s beauty while getting ready for their big day.

The real magic, however, came alive in the decor, skilfully curated by AVZ. The team perfectly captured the couple’s vision with a boho-inspired dried flower look that was both romantic and stylish. Earthy tones dominated the design, with a soft palette of blacks, creams, and muted natural hues that beautifully complemented the surrounding landscape.

From the ceremony arch adorned with dried florals to the reception tables dressed in minimalist elegance, every detail exuded understated beauty. The addition of textured candles, elegant table runners, and carefully placed floral arrangements added a whimsical touch that felt both organic and refined.

As the ceremony began, the couple exchanged vows in front of an intimate gathering of their closest loved ones, with the estate’s vines stretching out in the background. It was a moment of pure joy, where time seemed to stand still, and every guest felt the deep love shared between Jasmine and Hayden.

On the 4th of February 2023, Anlia and Eben got married. YAY 🙂

We were delighted to assist Anlia and Eben with their wedding planning. We were put in touch with them by Shannon who runs Lavender Creations, as we assist her at times with wedding planning. This lovely couple needed to plan their wedding in a short space of time as they both have tight schedules. Eben Etzebeth is a professional rugby player who plays for South Africa and the Sharks, while Anlia van Rensburg is a singer & actress. We got to know the couple through the process and it was wonderful to see how in love they are!

They had booked La Paris as their wedding venue, which is situated near Paarl and Franschhoek. We then assisted with booking their other suppliers. As it was a celeb wedding, we did not battle to find willing suppliers who loved the couple and wanted to be part of their big day.

Anlia had fantastic ideas and knew what they wanted from the start. She wanted the look to be timeless, classic, and elegant with a touch of island. For example, we used white flowers and greenery with some coconuts for decor. The guests got to wear white island-styled garland necklaces and her rings were handed over in a large sea shell. As you will see in the photos, AVZ Decor did a great job of executing the brief. We used the lawns with a marquee for the reception dinner & dancing. The ceremony was held in the rose garden, under the trees. The pre-drinks in the Abrum where they cut the cake and had a live singer.

The fabulous Hanri Human took the photos, we can say she is a delight to work with and highly recommend her as a photographer. One Fine Day took the video which the couple can cherish forever.

Sarie was the chosen magazine to feature this wedding, and the magazine came out in March / April 2023.

The BIGGEST congrats to Anlia and Eben, thank you for making our job very easy and the love and support shown through the planning process was amazing. We had such fun and hope all your dreams come true! Cheers to a fab couple who deserve only the best for their future endeavors.

Jade & Anthony got married on the 24th of February 2022 at Belair Pavilion.

We first met this happy couple to plan their proposal, after they got engaged, we had the honor of planning their wedding. This was one of our first Jewish weddings and we absolutely loved planning it. They trusted us to plan a perfect wedding. Antony, being in the events industry knew a few suppliers that could offer them their best service. Jade was one of the most relaxed brides and was super to work with.

After going through a few venue options, they booked Belair, they loved the open glass pavilion and its beautiful gardens. A stunning venue in the Paarl, situated next to Spice route. We booked only the best vendors to work with us for this wonderful wedding.

On the day, Jade got dressed with her girls at the venue. Anthony was booked in at Diamant estate to dress with the groomsmen. The bedeken was held at Belair, this is the first time they see each other on the day, it is the most wonderful tradition. The family and bridal party all gather around to celebrate this moment.

“The bedeken is the veiling of the bride by her groom-to-be. It’s an intimate moment where the groom reverently covers her face with the veil. It is to symbolize that they are two distinct people even in marriage and that he values her inner beauty.”

After this, they all walk down the aisle, men first, followed by the ladies. Where the ceremony begins with the Rabbi. The other tradition is dancing during pre-drinks, this is when the wedding party all gathers on the dancefloor to celebrate the couple’s love. This is known as hora dancing.

“The hora is a traditional dance performed at Jewish weddings where the newlyweds are lifted into the air while their family and friends dance in circles around them. During the hora, the couple each holds one end of a handkerchief or napkin to signify their union.”

The pre-drinks were held on the lawns with floating canapes. The acoustic element played music with the DJ as a backup. The reception was in the grass venue, which was decored by N-concepts. A highlight of the decor was the flower wall behind the bride & groom, AMAZING. Speeches were done by various family and friends, and we could see the love in the room. The DJ’s led the party into full swing and dancing mode by the time we left that night.

Congrats to this fabulous couple, a full journey with them and we hope to plan more romantic events in your future. All the best for your future as Mr & Mrs. Jade and Ant Wedding will be remembered for a long time.

On the 21st of April 2019, the beautiful Claire married the love of her life, Scott.

We were honoured when Claire asked us to assist in planning her wedding. She had a very clear vision from the start of her dream wedding. As we all know planning a wedding can be daunting but not for Claire, she was happy to arrange suppliers and we were the co-ordinators on the day.

This wonderful couple lives in Dubai, they both are South African born and bred but have been living abroad for the last couple of years. They wanted a weekend wedding, filled with lots of activities and fun. They choose the Easter weekend so guests would take time off to enjoy the holidays. They invited friends from abroad thus flying out to Cape Town for a destination wedding was on the cards. In total, about 105 guests arrived for this wonderful occasion.

We gave her a few venue ideas to start and the chosen one was Penhill Manor. This stunning venue is situated in the Nuy Valley outside Cape Town. The activities began with a pizza & wine evening. Followed by the wedding night and ended with a brunch the next day.

Claire booked great suppliers who created the most amazing setup. Nadia from 4 Every Event created magic with the flowers and decor. All of the items needed to be hired in, so it was about 2 days worth of setup, starting with the tent. They chose the dam for the ceremony and pre-drinks on the lawns. The dance floor was outside under the trees in front of the clear tent. The venue offers quite a bit of accommodation which was booked for the bridal party and family. Other guests booked places in the area which are closely situated.

On the wedding day, Claire got dressed with her fabulous bridesmaids in a cottage at the venue. The weather was an issue that day as the rain came down just after the ceremony, so the pre-drinks moved into the manor house. This did not dampen anyone’s spirits and the party continued. The couple was still able to go outside for their couple shoot.  Shanna Jones worked her magic and with clouds in the sky the photos are magical. The rain cleared in the evening so everything could commence as normal.

The guests danced all evening and the party really started after the speeches were done. With the lights in the trees shining down the guests danced the night away. They are finally married which they celebrated with family and friends. Claire and Scott wedding was beautiful- we loved working with this couple on planning a stunning day.

They had a perfect wedding which was filled with happiness and laughter. The venue they choose was Jonkershuis at Groot Constantia. With the assistance of us choosing the correct suppliers and their creative ideas, the wedding was truly magical. Their guests were from lots of other countries so it was a smaller wedding of 75 people. Jared is from Australian and Jezica a local Cape Town girl.

Jezica and Jared are a young dynamic couple with fresh and fun ideas. While on a trip to Bali she brought dream catchers and wanted these to be a main focus in the wedding. We used them at the ceremony area on the arch and smaller ones were given to guests as wedding favors. Jezica wanted simple flowers, we used pink proteas and small blue bottles. She loves the colour blue and wanted to incorporate this in subtle way. The wedding cake was blue and cream for that extra touch. Jezica loves fairy lights so the roof was filled with sparkles. The venue is a courtyard with a lovely rustic theme that suited her ideas very well.

The wedding was filled with fun ideas, we hired a cartoon artist to draw the guests during the hour of pre-drinks. Pete, from Studio Woo was a great success. The photobooth was another success, it opened after dinner when the dancing began. Guests had a lovely time with all the props and making up themes against the green screen.

After the 3 course dinner done by Jonkershuis, they danced the night away. Jezica and Jareds wedding was beautiful and will be remembered for a long time. We wish them all the best and hope their adventures continue for a long time. A lovely couple who deserve only the best.

This lovely couple both South African but now live in Austria, had the most amazing wedding in Cape Town. They booked the venues before we were on the scene and what a great job they did. They had the ceremony at La Grenadine guest house in Tamboerskloof. This guest house is a hidden gem, with a beautiful garden in the front. Shalaine’s friends and family decorated this area. They all made special items to be used on the day, fun cushions, hanging origami birds and crystals. Both very creative and fun going people, they love the arts and traveling. We expected nothing less for their wedding.

The reception venue was held at Cartel Rooftop Bar situated in Cape Town off Bree street. What a view and atmosphere from this rooftop. You really feel like you are part of the city. The table decorations were rustic chic, greenery hung from above. Old trophies were used for vases on the tables. The tables were the raw wood with runners on top. They brought special steak knives as gifts for the guests to take home with them. The wedding favors were coasters which had their wedding logo on. Pierre being so creative came up with this design and concept. The cake stood on an old suitcase which they cut as the entered the reception venue.

So many of their friends assisted with the wedding proceedings, for example, friends playing music, arranging a harvest table all for the canape hour. You could feel the love and excitement which everyone shared on the day. Shalaine’s daughter stole our hearts, she was just the cutest little flower girl.

From the love at the ceremony to the party that carried on all night under the city lights, it was a great wedding. So many of their friends joined from Austria which was very special for them. We loved coordinating this wedding, an awesome couple to work with and thank you for letting us be part of the big day.

Nicol opted for our On-the-day package but we also ended up doing all her deco and flower set-up. Nicol had chosen and booked all her own suppliers, we stepped in about six weeks before the wedding day to start planning. The timeline was drawn up and all the final preparations were set in place. They booked Nitida Wine farm as the venue, which is in Durbanville. Nitida does all the catering, menu design and staff.

Nicol wanted to keep her deco very simple and budget friendly. She started collecting old bottles of all shapes and sizes. Once she had enough she painted some white and silver. Her colours were black, white and silver – very elegant. On the day we placed tall white flowers in the bottles and those were used as the center pieces. Its looked simple, pretty and fresh. She had a lovely idea of a remembrance table for all those ‘missing’ at the wedding. We filled it with candles and flowers. Their also had a dessert table and her friends helped make their wedding cake. Their was lots of team effort from friends and family.

Nicol got dressed at the Protea Hotel down the road, all the girls had lots of fun getting dressed with the bride to be. The bridesmaids wore stunning long black dresses which suited the theme and style well. Nicol looked amazing in her wedding dress! Nicol’s bouquet was made by Liz Puccini.

The ceremony was outside in a courtyard, Azila who was the marriage officer married these two love birds. Crystals hung from the trees ,which swayed in the wind, while they said their vows. After all the “I do’s” the confetti was thrown and guests congratulated this happy couple.

The reception was in the glass hall and dancing in a side room. As it was the beginning of winter there was a cold nip in the air as the sun set. The fireplace was lit and heaters were turned on to keep it warm. We have to mention that the speeches were hilarious as the famous Marc Lottering was the MC who stole the show. What a character! The groom knows him and asked him to do it…this was no problem for Marc, he loves a party 🙂

The bride and groom danced their first dance and the party started. The biggest hit was the photobooth on the night. Guests and the bridal party had soooo much fun having funny pictures taken. We hung up the paper hearts as a backdrop and set up the props which created memories that will last forever.
