Shalaine and Pierre Wedding

On the 15th October 2016, Shalaine and Pierre got married.

This lovely couple both South African but now live in Austria, had the most amazing wedding in Cape Town. They booked the venues before we were on the scene and what a great job they did. They had the ceremony at La Grenadine guest house in Tamboerskloof. This guest house is a hidden gem, with a beautiful garden in the front. Shalaine’s friends and family decorated this area. They all made special items to be used on the day, fun cushions, hanging origami birds and crystals. Both very creative and fun going people, they love the arts and traveling. We expected nothing less for their wedding.

The reception venue was held at Cartel Rooftop Bar situated in Cape Town off Bree street. What a view and atmosphere from this rooftop. You really feel like you are part of the city. The table decorations were rustic chic, greenery hung from above. Old trophies were used for vases on the tables. The tables were the raw wood with runners on top. They brought special steak knives as gifts for the guests to take home with them. The wedding favors were coasters which had their wedding logo on. Pierre being so creative came up with this design and concept. The cake stood on an old suitcase which they cut as the entered the reception venue.

So many of their friends assisted with the wedding proceedings, for example, friends playing music, arranging a harvest table all for the canape hour. You could feel the love and excitement which everyone shared on the day. Shalaine’s daughter stole our hearts, she was just the cutest little flower girl.

From the love at the ceremony to the party that carried on all night under the city lights, it was a great wedding. So many of their friends joined from Austria which was very special for them. We loved coordinating this wedding, an awesome couple to work with and thank you for letting us be part of the big day.
