Claire and Scott Wedding

On the 21st of April 2019, the beautiful Claire married the love of her life, Scott.

We were honoured when Claire asked us to assist in planning her wedding. She had a very clear vision from the start of her dream wedding. As we all know planning a wedding can be daunting but not for Claire, she was happy to arrange suppliers and we were the co-ordinators on the day.

This wonderful couple lives in Dubai, they both are South African born and bred but have been living abroad for the last couple of years. They wanted a weekend wedding, filled with lots of activities and fun. They choose the Easter weekend so guests would take time off to enjoy the holidays. They invited friends from abroad thus flying out to Cape Town for a destination wedding was on the cards. In total, about 105 guests arrived for this wonderful occasion.

We gave her a few venue ideas to start and the chosen one was Penhill Manor. This stunning venue is situated in the Nuy Valley outside Cape Town. The activities began with a pizza & wine evening. Followed by the wedding night and ended with a brunch the next day.

Claire booked great suppliers who created the most amazing setup. Nadia from 4 Every Event created magic with the flowers and decor. All of the items needed to be hired in, so it was about 2 days worth of setup, starting with the tent. They chose the dam for the ceremony and pre-drinks on the lawns. The dance floor was outside under the trees in front of the clear tent. The venue offers quite a bit of accommodation which was booked for the bridal party and family. Other guests booked places in the area which are closely situated.

On the wedding day, Claire got dressed with her fabulous bridesmaids in a cottage at the venue. The weather was an issue that day as the rain came down just after the ceremony, so the pre-drinks moved into the manor house. This did not dampen anyone’s spirits and the party continued. The couple was still able to go outside for their couple shoot. Shanna Jones worked her magic and with clouds in the sky the photos are magical. The rain cleared in the evening so everything could commence as normal.

The guests danced all evening and the party really started after the speeches were done. With the lights in the trees shining down the guests danced the night away. They are finally married which they celebrated with family and friends. Claire and Scott wedding was beautiful- we loved working with this couple on planning a stunning day.
