Stefan and Nadene garden proposal

On the 19th of September 2020, Stefan and Nadene got engaged.

We were honored to assist Stefan with his fabulous proposal. He contacted us during the initial lockdown with high hopes that venues would be open by September. It was obviously meant to be as flights opened up just in time and they were able to come down to Cape Town.

They both live and work in Durban and were coming down for a holiday, Stefan thought this was just the time to pop the question. His brief to us was a romantic picnic, they both love outdoor activities, wine farms, and picnics. They have been together for 18 months and met through work.

As it was during the lockdown, we contact several wine farms but they were not taking any bookings nor could tell us when they were opening. So we discussed with Stefan to plan a garden picnic at The Cellars Hohenort, he just loved this idea.

On the day we set up the picnic decor in their beautiful gardens. We used her favorite colours and flowers, pink roses as decor. He asked that we include a “marry me” sign, so this was highlighted in the decor. The venue provides the food and drinks, we bring in all the decor, signs, photos, and flowers to ensure it is personal.

On arrival, we led the couple to the picnic spot, while Sian our photographer pretended to hide away and capture the proposal from afar. As the sign could be seen on arrival, Nadene knew what was happening and just burst into tears. Her reaction was so sweet and we loved creating this special spot for them. SHE SAID YES! They enjoyed a photoshoot with the photographer and celebrated with a picnic. The weather was amazing and everything turned out perfectly.

Stefan and Nadene garden proposal was magical, we wish this happy couple a lifetime of happiness.
