On the 7th of June, Shaun asked the love of his life Chané to marry him and she said YES!

Shaun and Chané are both game rangers in the Kruger park and were down at the coast for a breakaway. Shaun knew that he wanted to propose to Chané with an intimate and very personal picnic on the beach.

Winter mornings on the beach make for the most gorgeous photographs and we were delighted when Shaun jumped at the idea of an early morning champagne breakfast proposal.

We set the scene with all of Chané’s favourite things, her favourite colour pink, lots of roses, photographs of the two of them and speckled eggs her favourite treat. Shaun has also asked us to incorporate “will you marry me” biscuits and we enlisted the help of the very talent Dainty Biscuit to assist us with this task. A sumptuous breakfast platter complete with orange juice and bubbly completed the picnic setup.

Shaun had convinced Chané that an early morning walk on the beach was in order, and what a perfect morning it was…the light was magical, the waves bright blue and not another soul on the beach except for us and our photographer Chris who were hiding in the bushes to capture the moment when Shaun got down on one knee and asked Chané to marry him.

This magical proposal was captured beautifully by the talented Chris of Peppermint Pix. Shaun and Chane champagne breakfast proposal will be remembered for a long time.
