We recently had the privilege of arranging a fabulous surprise marriage proposal in a game reserve called Rain Farm Game Lodge, for a couple who were holidaying in KZN with their family.
The proposal set up was on the water’s edge in a remote area of this beautiful wildlife sanctuary with the occasional buck wondering by in the distance. The rustic jetty was spread with thick picnic blankets and cushions for a comfortable and luxurious feel and as the game viewing vehicle stopped alongside, our couple wandered down to their picnic set up and took in the beautifully laid out area that we had prepared for them. Monique’s favourite flowers are proteas and we arranged a massive bouquet for her to take home and enjoy. We had added a photographic display to the décor set up which personalised the area for them as a couple and took them down memory lane together. Niel got down on bended knee and popped the question! Monique was completely surprised and overwhelmed – she said YES to a lifetime of happiness together with the love of her life!!
After popping some champagne to celebrate and enjoying a delicious meal and decadent dessert, they proceeded to enjoy a private game drive with an experienced and informative guide, together with our photographer who accompanied them to capture their very special morning and also the animals who are resident in this gorgeous piece of African paradise which is tucked away between the rolling hills and sugar cane fields along our KZN North Coast. It was a picture perfect setting that included zebra and giraffe participating as guests in the engagement photo shoot, so all in all, this was a totally intimate and magical experience for Niel & Monique.
Niel and Monique rain farm proposal was stunning. We LOVED working behind the scene to make this fairy-tale proposal a dream reality for our client. Congrats to the happy couple.
