Chapel Proposal in Durban
When Floyd reached out to us with his vision for proposing to Kelsey, he had one clear goal in mind: create a moment of pure romance and timeless elegance with a cross as the focal point. He wanted something intimate, breathtaking, and filled with love — and what better setting than a charming chapel with a garden-facing picture window as the backdrop?
From the moment we began planning, we knew this proposal would be something truly special. The venue itself, with its classic whitewashed chapel walls and tall arched window framing the lush green garden outside, gave us the perfect canvas to bring Floyd’s dream to life.
The centerpiece of the setup was a striking standing heart that was adorned with white flowers. This statement piece stood proud against the window, echoing the purity of their love and adding softness and sophistication to the space. The natural sunset light streaming through the glass created a beautiful glow, making the heart shimmer beautifully in contrast to the garden beyond.
To enhance the romantic ambiance, we layered the chapel with soft candlelight that lined the aisle and flickered gently at the altar. The setup felt like something out of a modern fairytale; it was intimate, warm, and truly magical, and the result was a perfect blend of classic romance and contemporary elegance; it was exactly the aesthetic Floyd had hoped for. Every element was chosen with care to reflect the couple’s style and to create a space that felt not only beautiful but deeply meaningful to them.
As Kelsey stepped into the chapel, she was visibly moved and very surprised as she thought she was attending a work-related awards ceremony.
After she said yes, the couple shared a quiet moment beneath the floral heart, surrounded by candlelight, before stepping outside for a sunset photoshoot in the garden. The joy and emotion of the proposal lingered in the air, captured forever in the smiles and happy tears they shared.
