Winter engagement in Cape Town
On the 12th of July, in the heart of a Cape Town winter, the sun came out to play — setting the scene for a magical proposal that Kyle had been planning with us in secret for weeks.
Visiting from KwaZulu-Natal, Kyle surprised his girlfriend Deantha with a weekend getaway to the Cape, where she had no idea what was waiting for her. Tucked away in the winelands, surrounded by towering mountains and winter greenery, we created a romantic setup that blended natural beauty with soft, elegant touches.
A crisp white carpet led to a floral heart-shaped arch and a glowing “Will You Marry Me?” sign. The aisle was lined with flickering candles and scattered rose petals — a soft and serene path to one of life’s biggest moments. Kyle and Deantha spent the morning wine tasting, and after lunch they returned to their hotel, where we had been busy setting the scene. With perfect weather, a view to take your breath away, and love in the air, Kyle walked Deatha down the carpet, got down on one knee — and of course, she said yes!
Cape Town might be known for its chilly winters, but this proposal was pure warmth and magic from beginning to end.
