On the 20th September 2019, Willie and Bernadene got engaged!
This fabulous couple was on holiday in Cape Town from Pretoria. They had been together for over 3 years. Bernadene LOVES animals, especially dogs! She has so many at home and as they would be away Willie wanted to include ‘dogs’ in the proposal. We started off with venues like parks and doggy parlours but Willie decided privacy was best. Silvermist mountain lodge was the chosen venue. Our office dog, Otto was included in the proposal. Otto was SO excited for the big day, he had a wash and practised his poses 🙂 hee hee.
We made Otto a dog tag that said “marry me” that Bernadene would see on her arrival at the private forest deck. We also set up a Gin bar as this is her second favourite thing in the world! We love creating gin bars – these are just so much fun as we fill the tray with tasty toppings. Berries, limes, lemons were just a few of the ingredients we added in.
On the day, Willie and Bernadene got a little lost and went on a hiking trail up the mountain, as this is now part of the story, she was in fits of laughter when they eventually found the correct path. Soon Bernadene realised why she had to follow Willie all over, he got down on one knee and popped the question. We sent Otto in their direction and his acting was on top form. She bent down and saw the tag ~ SHE SAID YES!
Bronwyn took the photos on the day, and ask she called this event “love in the mist” it was a magical proposal. The mist rolled in over the mountains in typical Cape Town style. The photos are stunning, we are so excited to share them with you!
