On Saturday 5th December, Shival and Suvishka had the most romantic Zimbali beach proposal.
When Shival first contacted us, he couldn’t wait to do something extraordinary for the love of his life. He said he was know for loving to do elaborate things and had always taken Suvishka on out of the ordinary dates, with this in mind he wanted only the very best for his soon to be fiance. What a fun brief that was for us to work with! The beach in KZN was chosen as the location, as the couple were flying in from Johannesburg, and the ideas started to flow to make it truly unique and perfect.
We decided to surround the picnic setup with 300 roses, hundreds of red rose petals and giant white balloons. We placed photo props in the sand and also had a photo line with photos of the two of them behind the picnic. All along the beach leading up to setup we placed hand painted signs with love quotes on them in the sand.
On the picnic blanket, Shival wanted a memory box to take Suvishka down memory lane before leading to the big moment. We included trinkets from some of their first dates, photos of the two of them, wishes for their happy future, a picture of the entrance to the beach saying “where happily ever after begins” and finally a picture of the stretch of beach saying “one last thing.” At that moment he went down on one knee, took out a beautiful ring and asked Suvishka to marry him. She said YES! A perfect Zimbali beach proposal!
They then had some time together to take in the moment, while enjoying champagne and eating chocolate covered strawberries. After this they had a few couple pictures taken and took in the sunset (a cloudy one but nevertheless magical).
He told us after the event that she was completely unaware and thought it was an elaborate date right until he went down on one knee.
To top off the event with even more excitement, Suvishka and Shival’s family & friends surprised the happy couple on the beach to join in the celebrations. Everyone then left the beach on golf carts trailing the balloons behind them and headed to The Fairmont at Zimbali for a dinner.
We wish this couple a happy future together. What a magical Zimbali beach proposal it was!
