On the 29th July 2016 Shaun and Shanine got engaged.

Shaun and Shanine have been together for 8 years, they traveled from Pretoria to pop the question in Cape Town. Shaun first got hold of us and wanted to know a venue with the best views. Cape View Clifton is a boutique hotel which offers 360 degree views of the Atlantic ocean and Table Mountain. The views from here are just incredible. The hotel is built on a cliff and all the rooms are sea and mountain facing. Shaun just loved the idea of looking at the mountains and popping the question. They both love hiking and in April every year they go on a hiking adventure. At the end of their hikes is an amazing view, so he wanted this to be part of their special day.

As they both love being adventurous he wanted to include something fun, so we started giving him ideas for shark cage diving and paragliding but in the end he decided on something very romantic and charming for the marriage proposal. The adventure happened the next day… 🙂

On arrival at Cape View Clifton, they entered their suite we booked and he proposed on the balcony. We had made up some flower arrangements as deco and a photo tree so they could see all their happy memories. Katie, the photographer captured the moment on camera perfectly. Shaun requested ‘Jason Mraz – I’m Yours’ to be playing in the background. The evening was just perfect with not a breathe of wind. We get some magical days in the Cape and this was one of them. After she said YES… they opened some bubbly and watched the sunset. We booked dinner for them at The Roundhouse Restaurant which is just up the road from Cape View Clifton. They stayed the night at the hotel and woke up the next day for their adventure to begin!

Shaun wanted to go sky diving the following day as he thought it was symbolic of ” the leap of faith they are taking together”. They traveled to the West Coast and jumped out of an aeroplane… brave people!!

Shaun and Shanine marriage proposal at Cape View Clifton was one to remember for a long time. We are so honored to be part of their special day and wish them all the a happy and fun future together.
