On the 26th June 2016 Daniel and Talia got engaged.
They both reside in Cape Town and have been together for 6 years. Daniel thought it was time to propose to the love of his life.
Daniel explained to us that Talia absolutely adores bunnies. He wanted to include bunnies or rabbits into the proposal. Daniel described his perfect location as outdoors, involving a picnic and some wine. He wanted us to find a location that was fun, intimate and private. We sent some options and Silvermist Mountain Estate suited his idea perfectly.
Silvermist is known for its love of nature and animals. You will see real life rabbits hopping all over the place. It’s a family run wine estate in the Constantia Valley. We discussed with Daniel that bunnies would be involved, whether real or fake, bunnies were the chosen theme. We had brought a cute ceramic bunny that had a “marry me” tag around its neck. His idea was to hold up the bunny and show Talia the sign.
On the day, the sun shone for this happy couple. They arrived at Silvermist with smiles on their faces. Daniel had told Talia he had booked a picnic and then were meeting friends afterwards. We directed them to the forest deck where the picnic had been set-up. Talia first noticed the sunflowers (her favourite) down the path and thought Daniel was being very romantic. The table was filled with all her favourite things… cupcakes with bunnies on them (thanks to The Cake Witch), a bunch of sunflowers and the very precious ceramic bunny with the tag.
Talia looked at the tag and didn’t at first notice the words, then she looked again and got a huge shock, with that she turned and Daniel was on his knee, holding her new beautiful diamond ring! She said YES!
Daniel and Talia marriage proposal was just perfect! We wish them both a happy future together, may it be filled with adventure and love.
