Shamil and Ashmika engagement

On the 22nd of November, this wonderful couple got engaged!

This lovely young and vibrant couple live in Joburg and have been together for 5 years. They studied in Cape Town and met while studying, so can we say it was love at first sight!

Shamil wanted a private and intimate place for his marriage proposal. He loved the idea of being outdoors and in a garden type of area. Cape Town has a special place in their hearts, so wanted it all captured on film. We suggested the fabulous, Silvermist Mountain lodge as we looooove this spot. It is a hidden gem that suits so many ideas and most decor.

Ashmika loves orange and red flowers which we incorporated into their big day. It is so important to add personal items to make it special. It’s a very happy day that means the world to the couple thus we try out best to ensure it all runs smoothly. Ashmika looked stunning, she was dressed and ready for a fabulous afternoon out in the Constantia Winelands.

Shamil asked to add in a surprise element, a marry me sign that was fun and added in a “wow” factor. She loves cupcakes so we combined the two and made a little sign that hung over the cupcakes. We are always ready to create fun and exciting signs for our clients.

On arrival at the wine farm, we walked the couple to the private table on the deck. Ashmika giggled with laughter as Shamil asked her to marry him. She said yes!! She loved the cupcakes and enjoyed celebrating their engagement all afternoon. The delicious cupcakes were from The Velvet Cake Co – they are the best!
