On the 18th April, Mike asked Dani to marry him and she said YES! It was just the most perfect surprise and a beautiful sunset! Mike and Dani have been together for three years and they are such a lovely couple. Mike first contacted us wanting an art gallery proposal and we knew of the perfect place. A plan was set in place and all was organised. Mike even organised with Dani’s boss to get her off work early that day and he apparently “shoo-ed” her out of the office 😊
They arrived at Circa Art Gallery in Johannesburg for Mike’s “colleague’s art exhibition”. Once they had browsed the first floor’s art, we went and found them and asked if they would like to come up onto the roof for a “famous photographer’s latest unveiling”. On the way to the roof, we told them the canvas was entitled Love and that we had decorated the roof accordingly. This meant that Dani didn’t expect much when she saw the setup – there was a pathway of red rose petals, candles and lanterns lighting the way and the canvas was covered next to a bouquet of red roses and her favourite wine. We unveiled the canvas to reveal a picture of them and a small sign saying Marry Me. Dani was SO surprised and Mike got onto one knee. It was a resounding YES!
Monica then captured the beautiful couple shoot around the awe-inspiring art gallery while they drank some wine and enjoyed the moment.
Dani and Mike’s families then joined us on the roof for the celebrations and to watch the sun go down. Everyone was so excited for them and they had kept a secret well hidden.
