On the 24th of September, we made our way to Llandudno beach to create a magical setting that would bring two people together for the rest of their lives.
Michelle and Claudia have been together for 9 years and they live in Johannesburg. Michelle was down in Cape Town for work and decided to fly Claudia down for the long weekend so that they could have a weekend away together. Michelle told Claudia that they had a ‘photo shoot’ on the beach. Little did Claudia know that she would soon be engaged!
After setting up their picnic proposal, we were very worried about the high tide that was slowly creeping up on us. It was amazing to watch the waves form around everything we had set up and never touched any of our décor. The weather that was meant to be overcast cleared up just as we started setting up and it ended up being a beautiful, sunny and windless afternoon.
Michelle and Claudia made their way down the stairs and onto the beach where all their favourite quotes were written on sign boards. There were little hearts cut out that helped create a pathway with a few photos of the couple placed in between. When they walked around the rock, there was a heart made out of rose petals and this is where Michelle got down on one knee and asked Claudia to be her wife. SHE SAID YES!
The couple then enjoyed a beautiful picnic on the beach and had time to take in the reality of what had just happened. Kathryn, the photographer made sure to capture all the special moments on camera and took some beautiful photos of the very happy couple.
Michelle and Claudia are a remarkable couple who share a love that is like no other. It was an absolute blessing to have been a part of this memorable day. We wish them nothing but the best for their happily ever after together.
