Marriage proposal at The Silo Hotel
On the 27th February 2020, Milan and Raveena got engaged.
This lovely couple work and live in Joburg. Cape Town was the chosen location for a romantic holiday. They have been together for 9 years so the time was right to pop the question. Milan contacted us to assist with sourcing the perfect venue for their big day. As we know Cape Town very well, we suggested a few rooftop venues that might be suitable. He was looking for beautiful views, urban & luxurious vibe, and very romantic. The chosen venue was The Silo hotel in the Silo district at the Waterfront. This is one of our FAVOURITE venues, it is exclusive and oh -so-romantic. The proposal was planned to be on the rooftop pool area but the wind was blowing gusts that day, so the hotel kindly offered us the Penthouse to make use of. If you have seen the Silo Penthouse before, then you know the not much is required as it is beautiful. The views are of the harbour, Lions head and Table Mountain, which paints Cape Town in a wonderful light.
As Milan wanted to keep it simple, we brought in a frame which said “will you marry me?” along side a vase with white roses and greenery. We had a secret photographer hiding to capture their special moments on film.
Milan and Raveena arrived at The Silo and were escorted up to the Penthouse floor. The door opened and walked in to see the ‘setup’. Raveena read the sign and Milan asked her to marry him, she said YES! They had a few photos around the hotel, followed by breakfast at the restaurant. Thank you to The Silo for making his dream come true.
