On the 5th March 2015 Lisa and Daniel tied the knot. They had the most beautiful wedding at a venue called The Conservatory in Franschhoek, Cape Town. It was a beautiful Franschhoek wedding. They are originally from the UK but now live in Cape Town. As lots of guests flew out from the UK and other parts of the world, it was a smaller wedding with about 60 people. Lisa from the start knew exactly what she wanted… an industrial, clean, echo look. This compliments the venue very nicely as its a blank canvas for us. The deco used were wooden logs, iron tables, grey napkins, soft white flowers and ferns for greenery. A really lovely setting for such an occasion.
We set out the ceremony on the lawns outside the manor house which is on the property. They did something different which was the met before the ceremony, just the two of them and had a moment together. So the groom, Daniel saw the bride and dress before anyone else! Very cute indeed! After this the guests arrived and they were both their to greet the them. They wanted to do this so that they had more time with all their guests and the ceremony was more relaxed. They had a lovely sunny ceremony on the lawns, simple deco with stunning views.
The pre-drinks were held at the manor house on the lawn and deck. They had lawn games to play and a bar serving Pimms to begin. They had a magnum bottle of wine that each guest signed, so on their 10 year anniversary they would invite those guests to drink it with them. A very sweet idea which we are sure the guests will be happy about. Angelo & Sarah from Shake & bake sang while the guests enjoyed having drinks & snacks.
The reception area at night looked magical, fairy lights and candles lit up the venue. It was a happy wedding, with great company and speeches. The food was brought on platters to the tables in a harvest style manner. Lisa and Daniel danced to Bryan Adams – Everything I do I do for you as their first dance song. After this lights were turned down and the party started. A Franschhoek wedding that took your breathe away!
