Kim and Chris Mont Pellier Wedding
Kim and Chris’ wedding weekend at Montpellier de Tulbagh was the perfect blend of relaxed countryside charm, special moments and one unforgettable party. Set against the breathtaking mountain backdrop of Tulbagh, the couple gathered their closest family and friends for a summer wedding weekend that felt warm, personal and effortlessly fun.
Guests arrived on the Friday afternoon for a laid-back pizza evening amongst the vineyards, setting the tone for the celebrations ahead. As the sun dipped behind the mountains, everyone settled into the magic of the estate, reconnecting over wine, pizza and the excitement of the weekend to come.
The wedding day itself unfolded beautifully. Kim spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids while Chris welcomed guests arriving at the chapel. The ceremony took place in Montpellier’s charming chapel, filled with laughter, emotion and personality from start to finish. From the bridal party walking in to Lizzo’s “Good As Hell” to Kim’s entrance to “Ooh La La” by The Faces, every music choice reflected the couple’s playful and vibrant energy.
After the ceremony, guests lined the chapel steps with confetti before making their way to the garden lawn for pre-drinks beneath the summer sun. With cocktails flowing, canapés being passed around, and live music creating the perfect atmosphere, the afternoon felt relaxed and joyful. One of the highlights was Kim and Chris’ entrance into cocktail hour, greeted by cheering guests and live music performed by Kristi Louw.
As golden hour arrived, guests moved into the stunning glasshouse reception space, beautifully layered with festoon lighting, disco balls, lampshades and romantic candlelight. The décor struck the perfect balance between elegant and fun, creating an atmosphere that felt intimate yet full of energy.
Dinner was a feast of generous shared platters and incredible flavours, including slow-roasted lamb, rooibos pork belly and vibrant seasonal salads. The speeches from family and friends had everyone laughing, crying and raising glasses throughout the evening.
As the formalities came to an end, Kim and Chris shared their first dance beneath the lights before the dance floor officially opened, and from that point onwards, the celebration turned into one big party. With an energetic crowd, incredible music and a packed dance floor until the early hours.
The biggest congrats to this wonderful couple!
