Jaime and Lori Perfect Proposal

On Sunday the 18th of October, Jaime and Lori got engaged.

We were thrilled when Jaime got in touch with us as we had just assisted his good friend with their proposal, so knew what they would like ~ it needed to be out of this world. 🙂

They live and work in Joburg and were coming down to Cape Town to stay. He mentioned booking accommodation at Delaire Graff which is one of our favorite wine farms of all time. We quickly told him this was an EXCELLENT choice and should pop the question there.

We have had a few proposals at Delaire Graff Estate before but because they were staying a few days, this venue then allows so much more. Firstly the suites are stunning, each with its own private pool and garden. The idea was maybe to use the room but we had a chat with the venue and our “old” favorite was still available ~ Leopards landing. This spot is high up on the mountain with 360-degree views of mountains. You can even see Table Mountain in the distance. This is a magical spot that we convinced Jaime was perfect.

As we wanted to create a unique and perfect setup, we got THE SOUK involved and hired their furniture. Lori is a huge fan of Bali (the country), even though it was not at a beach, we knew this picnic styled vibe would be suitable for this location. On the day we set up a white flowing tent structure and pillows, a matt, and lanterns. We added white flowers with greenery to finish the look. The venue provided all the food and bottle of bubbly for the celebrations.

Once the setup was completed (on time, of course) Jaime and Lori were waiting in reception for the golf cart to collect them. They traveled up the hill, through the vineyards to arrive at the lawn area, here they saw the setup. Jilda, our secret photographer was waiting to capture that all-important moment on film.

Jaime asked the girl of his dreams to marry him, she said YES! After being together for 3 years, it was now official! YAY!

While they enjoyed a couple’s shoot and their picnic, we quickly set up in their room. Jaime travels all over and while on his travels collects different PEZ. These cute little sweet dispensers play a big part in their relationship, so were brought down and included in the final proposal.
