Inge and Hendri Wedding Day

On the 10th December 2016, Inge and Hendri got married!

Inge and Hendri choose the lovely reception venue called The Olive Press which is at Boschendal Wine Estate. Their ceremony was held down the road at a small church. They were so lucky with the weather, it was a perfect day, sunny and windless. December in Franschhoek can have four seasons in one day but they got lucky. They asked us to assist with on the day coordination, we came on board about 2 months before the wedding to finalize all aspects.

Inge had a very clear idea in mind about deco and flowers, her and her mother worked very hard to get the perfect look. They wanted olive leaves as the main focus. They incorporated this by hanging big hoops from the ceiling. They had garlands of flowers on the tables. Green foliage with white flowers, simple but very effective. Inge wanted gold touches so that was brought in by the gold cutlery and candle holders. Storm from The Holloway shop did an amazing job to pull this all together. They used the venue chairs and tables which are raw wood and fitted the theme. Goeters hung naked bulbs over the long tables thus creating a lovely atmosphere at night.

The outside lawn area was used for canape hour. We created drink stations that guests could pick and choose, a market styled theme. Boschendal set-up a harvest table filled with delicious snacks. Albert Frost played live for the hour, he was great entertainment.

Once inside the reception venue, Inge and Hendri entered to the song “Lord Huron – Fool for love”. They cut the cake then sat down and enjoyed a 3-course meal with speeches in-between. Their wedding was filled with fun and laughter. As it was such lovely weather, guests roamed in and out of the venue using all spaces. The food was delicious and wine was poured all evening.

The party started after the first dance, “La Vie en Rose by Louis Armstrong” and carried on into the night.
