Grant and Casey marriage proposal

On the 1st March 2022, this lovely couple got engaged.

This was Grant’s time to pop the question of his long-time girlfriend of 7 years. They both work and live in Cape Town. He wanted an intimate and private proposal in a beautiful garden, we knew just the place. The Cellars Honenhort offers delicious picnics and amazing private spots on their grounds. They can offer a private garden space which is called the palm tree arch.

The one aspect that we took seriously about their relationship, is that she LOVES sunflowers like adores them! Grant wanted to include these in the proposal. So we used this as the theme for the picnic, we covered the grass area with sunflowers. We had so much fun decorating the lawns with these beautiful flowers. “Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow, that’s what sunflowers do.”

On the couple’s arrival, they walked quietly down the path to the picnic, she obviously saw the large “marry me” sign and hundreds of sunflowers. He asked the girl of his dreams to marry him. She said YES! Casey was sooooo happy to see the picnic, as she thought they were meeting friends for a lunch. His trick worked and Casey was caught by complete surprise. Sian took some photos of them at the palm arch, and afterward, they enjoyed their picnic amongst the sunflowers.
