After 10 years together, Kumeshin came to us with a clear intention: it had to be special, but not just in a “big moment” kind of way. And it needed to be elegant, intentional, and personal. He actually had two different ideas in mind at first, and we spent time talking through both of them, building the feeling of it, and figuring out what would be meaningful for Natasha.

What stood out from the start was how much thought he had already put into everything. He knew the kind of atmosphere she would love, the level of detail she would notice, and most importantly, the tone he wanted the moment to carry. He didn’t want anything overdone. He wanted something sophisticated, calm, and meaningful. And he planned carefully so the date would align perfectly with when he wanted to propose.

In the end, we brought it all together in a private wine cellar. When I say it was transformed, I mean it completely shifted into another world. Candlelight filled the space softly, and red rose petals were placed throughout in a way that felt natural and very romantic. Nothing screamed for attention, but everything had intention behind it. It was the kind of setup where you walk in and instinctively lower your voice.

When Natasha arrived, there was that brief pause you always hope for, that moment where she just took it all in without words. And then Kumeshin did what he had been waiting 10 years to do. The proposal itself was simple, direct, and full of emotion. When she said yes, everything else almost faded for a second. It was just the two of them, completely in their moment.

Afterwards, we moved into an engagement photoshoot inside the wine cellar and then out into the garden, where the light and air felt like a soft contrast to the intimacy of the cellar below.

To end it all, they sat down for a private 4-course fine dining dinner, still inside the wine cellar. It was calm, unhurried, and honestly, the perfect way to settle into what had just happened. Just two people enjoying the beginning of something new together.

A few days later, we received a message from him that honestly said it all:

Dear Jacqui, I just want to say a heartfelt thank you for the incredible job you did bringing my proposal to life. From the moment we arrived, everything was beyond what I had imagined. The venue was stunning, the setup was so elegant, and every little detail was thoughtfully and beautifully executed. It truly felt magical.

Your creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail made such a special moment even more unforgettable. I could see the care and passion you put into every element, and it really meant a lot to Natasha and myself. Thank you for helping create a memory that we will cherish forever. I’m so grateful for everything you did and I really appreciate it.”

And that word “magical” is probably the best way to describe it. Not because everything was perfect on paper, but because it was real in the moment, an absolutely perfect proposal for this couple.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Vygie in Wellington, Lexi and Antoine gathered 100 of their favourite people for a wedding that was anything but ordinary.

Inspired by mystical and mythological elements, the day blended creativity, personality, and celebration in a way that felt completely unique to them. The styling embraced a relaxed boho aesthetic, with thoughtful details and unexpected experiences around every corner. They used a set designer to create unique pieces at their favourite restaurant, Vygie. The set designer created all the decor on the day, which turned an already beautiful spot into something magical.

Guests were welcomed into a world of imagination, where a fortune teller offered glimpses into the future, and a bedazzling station added a touch of sparkle and fun throughout the evening. The atmosphere was vibrant and playful, encouraging everyone to get involved and enjoy the experience. They also encouraged all guests to dress up!

The celebration was filled with wonderful food, flowing conversation, and plenty of dancing. With a few little ones joining the festivities, the day had a warm and inclusive feel; love filled the air.

Francesca’s beautiful singing created lovely moments during the pre-drinks celebration, while DJ Dario kept the energy high well into the night, ensuring the dance floor remained fun.

From the creative entertainment to the relaxed boho styling and magical atmosphere, Lexi and Antoine’s wedding was a true reflection of who they are, a joyful celebration filled with laughter, connection, and unforgettable memories.

A wedding that reminded everyone that the best celebrations are the ones that embrace personality, creativity, and a little bit of magic. Congrats to a happy couple!

I still remember the first message from the client, equal parts excitement and nerves, with a clear intention to create something deeply meaningful for them as a couple when he reached out to me to plan a surprise marriage proposal.

The proposal itself was intimate, carefully designed to reflect their relationship. Every detail was intentional, and when she said yes. It was one of those moments that stays with you, not just as a planner, but as a witness to something real, significant, and deeply emotional.

Not long after, they came back to me, this time as an engaged couple, asking me to plan their wedding. It felt like such a natural continuation of what we had already started together.

From the outset, their vision for the wedding was beautifully clear. They wanted a small, intimate affair, something that felt relaxed yet elegant, and above all, meaningful. It wasn’t about impressing a crowd; it was about creating a space where their love story and the road they have personally travelled could be experienced in an honest, personal way.

As their planner, my focus was on translating that vision into an environment that felt effortless but at the same time, considered and intentional. We leaned into simplicity, allowing each detail to speak for itself without overwhelming the overall atmosphere.

The setting played a huge role. With the ocean as a breathtaking backdrop, the ceremony space came together in a way that felt both serene and powerful. A hexagonal arch stood at the heart of it all, adorned with florals that brought softness and texture to the scene. Roses and proteas were chosen for their blend of classic romance and natural beauty, and these were carried throughout the space, from the arch to the aisle, and onto the dinner tables. The result was cohesive without feeling overly styled.

Music added another layer of depth to the day. A live musician played guitar and sang both before and during the ceremony, creating an atmosphere that was warm and immersive. The couple selected songs that held special meaning to them, and hearing those pieces performed live made each moment feel even more personal.

The celebration continued with an unforgettable dining experience. Instead of a traditional format, they opted for a five-course small-plated menu, served by a private chef. Each course was thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented, offering guests something interactive and memorable. It encouraged connection and conversation, perfectly aligning with the intimate nature of the day.

Being part of their journey from proposal to wedding is something I will always hold close. It’s not often that you get to see a love story unfold in such a complete and meaningful way, and it was the beginning of a story I had the privilege of walking alongside. As a planner, there’s nothing more rewarding than knowing you’ve helped bring those moments to life.

Last December, we had the absolute joy of celebrating Caitlin and Dom’s unforgettable wedding weekend affectionately named “The Westival.” And what a wedding festival it was.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Pat Busch in Robertson, the couple created a four-day experience that felt less like a traditional wedding and more like a beautifully curated gathering of their favourite people. Think relaxed, nature-filled days, and a constant hum of laughter and connection.

From the moment guests arrived, there was an easy, joyful energy in the air. The venue itself couldn’t have been more perfect, wide open spaces, mountain views, and that signature countryside charm that makes you instantly slow down and settle in. It gave everyone the freedom to have a party and be present for the entire weekend.

One of the standout features was the incredible dome tent, which transformed into the ultimate dance floor as the sun went down. It became the heart of the celebration, filled with music, movement, and pure magic under the stars.  Guests gathered there, dancing late into the evening with an infectious, carefree spirit that defined the entire weekend.

Adding to the fun was a talent show hosted by the guests themselves, a highlight that brought so much personality and laughter to the celebrations. From impressive performances to hilarious acts, it was a reminder of just how special it is to be surrounded by a community that shows up wholeheartedly.

Every detail of The Westival reflected Caitlin and Dom’s vision: relaxed, fun, and deeply connected. There was no rush, no pressure, just four days of meaningful moments, shared meals, and unforgettable memories.

And long after the last song played and the weekend came to an end, one thing was clear — The Westival will be talked about for years to come.

There is something incredibly special about planning a proposal at sunrise. The world feels still, the light is soft and golden, and for a few quiet moments, it feels like the world belongs only to you. That was exactly the magic we wanted to create for our client when he approached us to curate a surprise proposal on a private nature reserve “beach” along the coast,  This wasn’t an ocean-facing beach, which made it even more unique. Tucked away alongside a nature reserve, framed by indigenous greenery and soft sand, the space offers a rare sense of intimacy, no crashing waves, no crowds, just serenity. When we suggested sunrise as the perfect time, we explained that on the East Coast, early morning light is unmatched as the sun rises, casting the most romantic glow across the sand. It’s also the least windy time of day and, importantly, the most private.

The plan was simple and perfectly deceptive. Yasteel’s girlfriend believed he had arranged a couple’s photoshoot to capture their time together at the reserve. She arrived dressed beautifully but casually, expecting nothing more than a few scenic portraits in the golden morning light.  While they made their way down to the “beach,” our team was already in position. Timing is everything with a surprise proposal, especially when you’re working against the onset of daylight. We carefully set up a breathtaking floral installation designed to complement the soft tones of sunrise. Think layers of textured blooms in neutral tones, accented with delicate greenery that echoes the surrounding landscape.  It stood at the centre of the setup, abundant, romantic, and intentionally positioned to frame the moment perfectly for photographs. The display felt organic, as though it had grown naturally from the sand itself. We styled the space with subtle décor elements that enhanced the setting without overpowering it. Every detail was designed to feel intimate and timeless.

As the couple approached with the photographer, Serena was still completely unaware of what was to come, as there wasn’t a “will you marry me?” sign in sight. She smiled at the camera, thinking the floral arrangement was simply part of the shoot’s styling. The soft golden light wrapped around them, illuminating the flowers and creating that dreamy sunrise haze photographers adore.

Then came the shift.

Instead of posing for the next photograph, Yasteel gently took her hands and guided her toward the centre of the display. In that quiet, windless morning air, surrounded by florals and bathed in sunrise light, he dropped to one knee. These are the moments that remind us exactly why we love what we do. She said yes, of course, and the private nature reserve echoed only with their happiness.

What followed was a beautifully relaxed engagement photoshoot, filled with genuine emotion. The sunrise light only grew more magical as they celebrated in their newly engaged glow.

Planning proposals like this is about more than décor. It’s about crafting an experience, choosing the perfect location and time of day, and designing a setting that feels like it was always meant for that exact moment. And on that quiet East Coast morning, it truly was. Congratulations to our happy couple!

On the 10th January 2026, Sarah and Steven got marrried!

There’s something truly magical about a destination wedding in the Cape and this beautiful celebration in January was no exception. Our lovely couple traveled all the way from Guernsey to say ‘I do,‘ surrounded by 72 of their closest family and friends.

The Setting

Perched on the slopes overlooking False Bay, the venue offered breathtaking panoramic views, endless vineyards, soft mountain silhouettes, and the ocean shimmering in the distance. January sunshine blessed the day with golden light, creating the dreamiest atmosphere for an outdoor ceremony. Gentle breezes and clear skies made it feel like nature itself was celebrating alongside the couple.

The Celebration

The ceremony was intimate, filled with emotion, laughter, and the kind of happy tears that remind you what weddings are really about. A little page boy stole the show with a entrance to lord of the rings. The flower arch faced the seaview, which was beautifully created by AVZ. Afterward, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés on the lawn, soaking up the sunshine and reconnecting with loved ones.

The reception that followed was lovely. Long tables, beautiful décor details of draping and lighting on the roof, and warm candlelight set the scene for an evening of incredible food, fine wine, and unforgettable speeches. One of our favourite elements was their wedding cake, well done Arda for another delicious piece of art!

The marriage

Hosting their wedding in the Cape allowed the couple to share a place they love with the people they love most. Congrats, Sarah and Steven, on your marriage. May you enjoy a lifetime of happiness together.

Planning a marriage proposal is always special, but there’s something truly magical about pulling off a surprise that feels both intimate and personal. We had the privilege of coordinating a breathtaking riverside proposal for a client who wanted to create an unforgettable moment for the love of his life. From the very first conversation, it was clear that he wanted something romantic and tranquil.

The setting was a beautiful riverside location, where the gentle sound of rippling water and surrounding natural beauty created the perfect romantic backdrop.  We worked carefully behind the scenes to design a setup that felt comfortable and natural with soft decor elements, the client’s favourite flowers, and romantic finishing touches that complemented the environment rather than competing with it.

On the day of the proposal, timing was everything. The client and his girlfriend arrived at the venue under the impression that they were simply enjoying a planned outing. The moment they arrived, our team quietly swept into action, making final adjustments and ensuring everything was picture-perfect. The goal was simple: keep the transition seamless so she wouldn’t suspect a thing. The excitement behind the scenes was electric, but everything outwardly appeared calm and effortless.

As the couple made their way toward the jetty, the moment finally arrived. When Saisha saw the riverside decor waiting for her, the surprise was immediate and emotional. Surrounded by the beauty of the water and the carefully prepared setting, Lavanthra took the opportunity to ask the most important question of his life, and she said yes. It was one of those moments that felt suspended in time, filled with joy, emotion, and pure love.

Following the proposal, the celebration continued with a romantic engagement photoshoot. The riverside scenery, paired with the couple’s natural chemistry and happiness, created stunning photographs that will no doubt become treasured memories for years to come. Capturing those first moments of engagement, the laughter, the quiet smiles, the stolen glances, is always incredibly special.

The experience didn’t end there. The newly engaged couple then headed off on a game drive, adding an adventurous and uniquely memorable element to their special day. Being surrounded by nature and wildlife gave them time to soak in the moment together, away from the world, just enjoying the start of their new chapter.

To close off the celebration, they enjoyed a celebratory lunch on the deck next to the pool, overlooking the rolling hills stretching into the distance. It was the perfect way to transition from excitement to relaxation with good food, beautiful views, and the quiet joy of knowing they were beginning a lifetime together.

On January 3, 2026, the vineyards of Idiom Wine Farm in Cape Town became the setting for a truly special celebration: the wedding day of two beautiful brides whose journey we had the privilege of being part of from the very beginning.

Long before guests gathered among the rolling vines, this love story began with a proposal we helped bring to life. From planning that unforgettable “yes” moment to designing and coordinating their wedding day, it was an honour to walk alongside them every step of the way.

With around 90 of their closest family and friends in attendance, the day felt intimate, warm, and full of meaning. Idiom’s panoramic views over the Helderberg and False Bay created a breathtaking backdrop, perfectly matched by elegant décor in soft green and crisp white tones. The styling was classic yet natural, with lush greenery, delicate white florals, and subtle details that reflected the couple’s style and personalities.

The ceremony was filled with dancing, happy tears, and moments that reminded everyone present why celebrating love in all its forms is so important. As the sun dipped behind the mountains, guests moved into an evening of fine wine, delicious food, and joyful celebration under the Cape summer sky.

Being entrusted with both their proposal and their wedding made this experience especially meaningful for our team. Watching their vision come to life and seeing them begin this new chapter together was a reminder of why we love what we do.
