On the 20th December 2013 David & Marizanne got engaged! It was a lovely Engagement in nature…
They met when they were studying accounting at Stellenbosch University, friends and class mates introduced them in their 3rd year. The rest was history…
David mentioned they both love the outdoors, hiking, picnic’s and being in nature. With that in mind a forest picnic was the chosen idea. He wanted the proposal to be a ‘intimate private moment that they will share for the rest of their lives’. He also wanted to surprise her!
We decorated the picnic area with her favorite colour, being pink. David wanted a ‘marry me sign’ so we added this into the dessert which were cupcakes, as she has a sweet tooth. He took the time out to tell us what he wanted, which was great.
Its was a really beautiful summer’s day (very hot indeed) they arrived at the picnic spot, we had a photographer hiding in the bushes to capture the special moment. David spoke those magic words… and Marizanne said YES! They enjoyed the afternoon by the pool and relaxing. Cape Town summer heat is unforgiving as many would know. They celebrated that night with a romantic dinner at Kitima in Hout Bay.
The rest is history…
We congratulate David & Marizanne and wish them all the best for what lies ahead! We are sure this lovely couple will share many more happy memories!
