Art Jamming Marriage Proposal

On the 31st May 2021, She asked, She said yes. This was such a fun marriage proposal to plan.

Masego and Letlotlo came to Cape Town on holiday. During their stay, Masego wanted to pop the question to her long-time partner of 10 years. She wanted something different, like an art studio or gallery. A place where they could paint, create or view other people’s work.

They were staying near the V&A Waterfront so we wanted to plan something close by. We have had a fun idea in mind for a while, this was the perfect time to execute it… ART JAMMING.

They had a private session at the Art Jamming studio in the Waterfront. The studio designed and created a “marry me” sign which was used as the grand gesture in the proposal. On arrival, this wonderful couple entered and we pointed them to the “splash” room. Here stood an easel with a yellow and black art piece. Letlotlo was told to start peeling the flaps, which revealed letters to spell “marry me?”.

It was such a sweet moment, where Letlotlo was completely shocked and Masego thrilled to be popping the question. As mentioned above, SHE ASKED, SHE SAID YES!

After the sign was revealed fully and the proposal happened, they enjoyed a couples shoot around the Waterfront. On their return, we placed flowers and bubbly at their painting stations, where they got to paint their own canvases. We have no idea how they flew home with all three art pieces but we think they did… 🙂
