Romantic Cellar Proposal
On the 28th of October 2022, Regan proposed to his lovely wife, AGAIN!
This lovely couple has already been married for 20 years, and have 3 beautiful children together, but Regan decided he wanted to organise another grand gesture to ask his life partner to renew their vows.
Regan knew he wanted to include a helicopter trip, but needed some assistance with the choice of venue. We discussed some options and Klein Constantia fitted the brief. Klein Constantia is a lovely old wine farm in the heart of the Constantia valley. The views from here are amazing, the Bistro serves delicious food and they offer wine tastings.
After their helicopter landed, they were taken on a 4×4 vineyard tour around the farm, and stopped for a glass of Klein Constantia MCC at the top of the farm, overlooking the vineyards and ocean. They were told that the vineyard tour included a private cellar tour, so the farm manager lead them down into the cellar, where Regan dropped to his knee and asked his wife to marry him, again, and she of course said YES!
Regan wanted the cellar setup to be done with a rose Gold and white colour palette and told us that his wife’s favourite flowers are tulips. We ordered 20 helium balloons and attached their most treasured photographs to the strings, and let them float to the ceiling of the cellar. We then placed all the tulips in single-stem vases, and scattered white rose petals on the ground – it look spectacular!
After the proposal, they moved to the Bistro to enjoy a lovely lunch, and then were collected by helicopter and taken to The Twelve Apostles Hotel to end the afternoon with a couples massage. What an incredibly special day, which we loved being a part of. We wish that their next 20 years of marriage together are even better than the first 20!
