Bohemian Tinswalo Proposal
On the 25th of November 2022, Jordan asked the woman of his dreams to marry him!
They both live in Canada and came to South Africa on holiday. Initially, we were going to plan to do the proposal in the Winelands, but then when we heard that Tinswalo had an opening, we could not turn it down. It truly is one of the most spectacular locations in the Cape!
Jordan liked the idea of a Bohemian marriage proposal. This entailed hiring the gorgeous Moroccan-inspired SOUK decor for the occasion. We used the guest deck near the pool to do the setup. We layered kilims, fluffy rugs, scatter cushions, and created an entrance with lanterns, teardrop baskets, and filled the vases with dried florals, which matched the natural fynbos surroundings beautifully.
Jordan also wanted us to hire a violinist who would play his requested song ‘Find Someone Like You’ by Snoh Aalegra, which was played during the proposal. This was all photographed by Sian Owen, who was hiding behind the cane bench to capture the special moment. Of course, SHE SAID YES!
The couple took a few photographs together on the beach in the golden light, and then they went to enjoy a bottle of MCC together while watching the sunset. After their sundowners, they were taken to the dining area to enjoy a 4-course meal catered by Chef’s Warehouse – a truly perfect proposal. Congrats to the happy couple, wishing them all the best for a happy future together.
