ZUKISANI AND ASANELE SURPRISE DINNER PROPOSAL

On the 25th of October 2020, this lovely couple got engaged!

It’s always special to be part of creating a lasting memory for those planning to pop the all-important question! Zukisani and Asanele surprise dinner proposal was fabulous.

Zukisani contacted us to assist in planning the proposal dinner about three weeks ahead of schedule. Although he was not sure exactly when he wanted to propose, he knew where he wanted to…Coachman on The Bay!

This young couple both reside in Port Elizabeth and are involved in the hospitality industry. This is where they met each other. Before long, love blossomed and 18 months down the line, Zukisani decided the time was right to ask for Asanele’s hand in marriage. Their faith has also played an important part in their journey to date, and it seemed the natural path of progression in taking that “giant leap of faith”. Asanele loves to go on picnics but thoroughly enjoys fine dining and dressing up for the occasion! Thus a dinner proposal it would be.

With her birthday being in October, the idea for a date was formed around this special occasion. The week proceeding the romantic dinner was filled with much excitement and arrangements. Armed with all the necessary information, we booked a quiet corner for them at The Coachman, and decorated the area with lovely balloons, letter lights, flowers, and candles!

She loves tones of yellows and mustards so we themed the floral arrangements and décor as well as the heart-shaped proposal area, on the floor, to match this. The photographer was booked, the timing was perfect and it all unfolded so nicely!

Upon arrival, the couple was lead to a table outside on the deck area, so that Asanele would not see the special corner. After a few minutes, we sent the waitress to their table to apologize profusely and tell them that she had in fact placed them at the incorrect table and asked them to please follow her to another table. Of course, this was all part of the plan.

As Zukisani walked ahead towards the heart-shaped rose petals and dropped to one knee, Asanale stopped in absolute shock, not quite sure what was happening! Zukisani asked her to be his princess and she really was so shocked that she took quite some time to react! Finally, she excitedly stuck out her hand, gestured towards him, and she said YES!

Everyone in the restaurant applauded and shouted with joy. By chance, one of her good friends was at the restaurant and come over to bless the happy couple. A fun photoshoot followed, and the couple was left to enjoy the excitement of the evening.
