Adrian knew he wanted a special sunrise beach proposal set up when he and his girlfriend, Alishka, would be on holiday in Durban. He knows her well, all her likes and dislikes so this made the planning process of the proposal a breeze.

We love a good romance story and theirs is truly one that warms the heart! They met in their first year of high school and have been friends since. The beautiful pictures that Adrian sent us to use as a “memory lane” in the setup are a testament to their journey. They have now been dating for 5 years and he felt that the time was right to ask her to be his wife and start the exciting process of wedding planning in earnest. He got down on one knee and presented Alishka with a little red ring box that held the most gorgeous engagement ring. Without any hesitation, she said YES!

Adrian and Alishka were certainly blessed with a perfect sunrise which made their photoshoot idyllic. Sunrise Beach proposals are always a good idea. It means you have the beach all to yourself, with no disturbances from other beachgoers. Sunrise is one of our favorite times of the day, peaceful, clam, and magical.

This lovely couple then relaxed and enjoyed the setting, taking in the view while absorbing this incredible moment together.

On the 11 of October 2022, this stunning couple got engaged.

Adam and Nabela had their first date on Milnerton beach, overlooking the iconic silhouette of Table Mountain, and he knew, that this was the spot he wanted to pop the question, exactly one year later.

Adam was very clear about exactly what he wanted, and we just helped him bring it all together. We setup on the day and were so lucky it was wind-free and a gorgeous day. Milnerton beach is known for the wind, so they were blessed with Cape Town magic. He had requested that we create a pathway with sign boards of the ‘7 reasons I love you’ leading up to a special picnic, where he would drop to his knee, and ask the love of his life to marry him.

The photographer and all their closest family and friends were hiding behind a little hill to watch the special occasion unfold, and were there for a special moment with the couple afterward, before leaving them to enjoy their romantic sunset picnic together.

Sunset beach proposal – how stunning is this – well-done team!!! We couldn’t be happier for both of them, and wish them all the best in this exciting new chapter together!

On the 16th December 2021, Stefan asked Melissa to be his wife, she said YES!

Stefan first came to us and wanted a beach picnic. He wanted privacy and something pretty that was simple and special for her. We booked suppliers and planned the day, at the chosen beach which was Dapat see Gat. This beach is near Gordon’s Bay on the way to Kogel bay. It is secluded and beautiful with all the rocks and cliffs that overlook it.

We call this option a drop-off picnic, this means we supply the food, bubbly, blanket, glasses, and flowers. All the items are the couples to keep and enjoy. This option saves our fabulous couples on costs as we can charge less for our time. If we have to tidy up after the couple we have to wait around for them to be complete as beach locations are public spaces. We can not leave items unattended on beaches or public spaces.

As he guessed, they were alone on the beach with our lovely photographer to capture the moment. Bronwyn hide away when they walked down and up to the picnic area. Once there she captured the proposal on film, followed by a couples shoot. Our photographers love to take photos of the details, these photos are cherished forever. We also suggest using one or two photos as your “save the date” for your wedding. These engagement photos are great to use and guests will love knowing that was your special day.

After she left, they enjoyed a picnic on the beach with delicious food and bubbly to celebrate!

On the 9th of November 2021, Yesh & Lira got engaged!

This lovely couple are from Joburg and have been together for 3 years.

We asked Yesh what is “perfect proposal” was and this is what he wrote:

Lira grew up in small town on the North Coast of Durbanalled Tinley Manor- she has always been in love with the beach and since we live in Durban she really misses it. Everytime we go to Durban we have a beach picnic. Lira is really goood at guessing what I am planning or figuring out suprises beforehand so I am hoping this one is what she east expects. I have told her that we are going to do a beach picnic for her birthday and want to surprise her and pop the question to her. My idea of the perfect proposal would be to walk her down to the beach and walk along- admiring the scenery and making her laugh. Eventually getting to the cute little picnic set up and pretending it is someone else, say a few things to her and then ask her the question – will you marry me? 

The above is pretty much how it went down, they arrived on Camps Bay beach. We had setup a picnic spot along the beach for them to enjoy. There was a big ‘marry me” sign with picnic food, a bottle of bubbly and lots of flowers. Once they arrived at the spot, Yesh said a few words and popped the question. Her reaction was amazing, so we think the surprise was REAL 🙂 yay

Ruan and Elzanie have been together for just over 3 years. They met at University and have been together ever since. They both love the outdoors, nature and exploring. Ruan had the beach in mind as a perfect proposal location. Melkbosstrand beach in particular, as it was the beach where Ruan asked Elzanie out all those years back. Their story started here, they began dating. It holds a special meaning to them and brought back lots of memories. An element of surprise was very important to Ruan so he hired us to keep it all a secret. We planned and set-up the beach picnic for him on the day. They were flying in that afternoon, he drove straight from the airport to Melkbosstrand beach.

On arrival Ruan blind folded Elzanie, he walked her slowly down the beach to the picnic spot. When he took off the blind fold he was kneeing on the ground with a diamond ring in his hand! He popped the question and asked her hand in marriage. She Said YES!!! Elzanie was so happy, there were tears of joy in everyone’s eyes.

While the beach proposal was happening, Jilda the photographer, captured it all on camera. They really enjoyed the photoshoot afterwards, we used some props and got creative with the pictures. The beach sunset was incredible, a lovely moment to remember forever.

We wish this lovely young couple all the best for the future. We hope they have many more exciting adventures together.

They have been together for the last 3 years and were friends even before they got together. They both enjoy traveling and seeing the world, the phrase “making memories” comes to mind.

Jamie came to us to help him plan the proposal, as Louise was expecting it on the trip, he wanted an element of surprised to make it a success. He wanted something intimate and nothing over the top. She loves the beach and ocean so a beach picnic was the chosen idea! An ideal setting to relax, enjoy each others company and watch the sunset.

An afternoon picnic was set up for them on the beach. Jilda, the photographer captured it all on film. Louise did not expect a thing, she though they were just going to the beach after doing a bit of shopping. It was a beautiful sunny day and they stayed and enjoyed their picnic until the sun had set! Louise said YES and Jamie was a very happy man 🙂  The best beach picnic proposal Cape Town!

We wish them the best of luck and happiness for what the future holds. A young, energetic couple who loves life! They have already set a wedding date for 2016, we hope we can share some photo’s from their big day after it happens!
