Summer date ideas

We know that it’s usually cuddling weather in winter however with the hot and sunny days finally coming out in Cape Town, we thought that you would need a few fun summer date ideas for you and your partner.

With Cape Town being right in the middle of Strawberry season, why not head down to the Polkadraai Strawberry Farm in Stellenbosch and pick your own strawberries. It will make for such a unique and different experience. Prices start at R40 and go up to R190 so there is a range for everyone’s budget. Make sure to eat a few strawberries along the way!

If you want to feel like a tourist in your own city then head down to the waterfront and hop onto the red bus for a tour around your city. It stops at all the main attractions in Cape Town such as Table Mountain, The District Six Museum and even takes you into Constantia to some of the main wine farms. You need to book online and tickets are R180 per person. The best part of this tour? The last stop is Camps Bay, so we suggest bar hopping along the beach road and having a few sunset cocktails.

We are so spoilt living in Cape Town as there are just so many options. If you haven’t been to Kalk Bay then make sure you head that way this summer and explore this quaint little town. There are so many hidden antique shops as well as amazing seafood restaurants.

If you prefer to have a relaxing afternoon drinking wine then head to Peter Falke Wine Estate where you can drink wine while lying on a bean bag. We highly suggest trying their nachos as they are delicious!  There are so many wine farms to choose from so please make sure you explore them all, however, a few more of our favourites are Hidden Valley, Jordan Wine Estate and Beyerskloof. Spend a few days this summer checking them all out!
