Stanleys Rock picnic Proposal

This wonderful couple got engaged at the 12 Apostles Hotel and Spa during their visit to South Africa. Hai and Rebecca had been dating for 7 years, and Hai knew this trip would be the perfect opportunity to pop the question.

On this particular day, we booked Stanley’s Rock which is the top picnic site on the mountain. We had also booked the couple a helicopter transfer from the V&A Waterfront to the Twelve Apostles Hotel. Hai had ‘disguised’ this special trip as a ‘birthday treat’ as Rebecca’s birthday in the following week.

After landing, the couple got escorted to Stanley’s Rock. They followed the trail of rose petals that led them to the picnic site. Sian, the photographer captured the proposal while hidden behind Stanley’s rock, which was then, followed by a couple’s shoot on the mountain. At first, the surrounding mountains and Lions Head was covered by clouds, but as the shoot continued, the sun burnt the clouds away, and it turned into the most beautiful autumn afternoon. The views are amazing thus giving the couple the best photos as keepsakes. We always order the picnic food to arrive after the photos are completed, to give the couple time to enjoy nature, the views, and the photos, and then indulge in the food.
