Sean first contacted us in early January and he had a date in mind that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Camilla – the 26th January. He wanted a romantic sunset proposal with an overnight stay and Toadbury Hall was the perfect location for this.
We ordered the sunset picnic for them and an overnight stay in an executive suite with their own private patio with no one around them. We set up the patio of their room (there was a 100% chance of rain that day, but in true Joburg style – it didn’t rain!). We put up the Marry Me sign in a location that meant Camilla would not see the sign until they rounded the corner to their room. We decorated the patio with a picnic set up, her favourite flowers, rose petals, pretty décor and bunting.
Sean had organised a photographer he knew from work, Nomaan, and his assistant were poised and ready to capture the proposal from two angles so that they could get Camilla’s face and Sean proposing.
Sean and Camilla arrived right on time where we met them in reception and said we escort them to their room. We took them the back way through the hotel to maximise the hotel and as soon as Camilla saw the setup and sign, she dropped her bag right there and then and covered her face out of surprise. She was SO surprised and completely taken aback!
They then enjoyed a couples shoot around the stunning hotel grounds before settling in with some bubbly and the sunset picnic. For more about our proposal packages, look here for details.
Sean and Camilla sunset picnic proposal was so special. Congratulations to a wonderful couple! We just loved surprising you Camilla and wish you both the very best for the future.
