On the 30th January 2016 Ryno and Sam got engaged!

Ryno got in touch with us as he wanted to plan his perfect proposal. Sam was traveling to Cape Town for work so he decided it was the right time and place to surprise her. He flew down to Cape Town from Joburg to ask the big question. We sent Ryno some venue ideas and he chose the lovely Waterkloof Winery. Ryno booked a place to stay in Somerset West, we booked a romantic dinner for him at the winery. The idea was that the proposal would happen outside on the lawns. Everything was set 🙂

Sam loves traveling, eating out, discovering new places and photo’s! They are lifestyle people who love new adventures. We wanted to include all of her passions into her proposal. Ryno sent us loads of photo’s which we used as decorations on the day. We also designed him a photobook which was very special for Sam as she just LOVES taking and being in photo’s. The title of their photobook was “There once was a girl…” The book tells their relationship story and goes through happy memories they have shared together. They have been together for 3 years.

On the day, Ryno and Sam arrived at Waterkloof. In true Cape Town style the wind was blowing but they didn’t seem phased as it was a new adventure for them. Ryno walked to the lawns outside the winery and told Sam to open the box which contained the photobook. On the last page were the words: “Will you marry me?” She said YES!

We had a photographer capture this special occasion as Sam would have not been impressed if photo’s were not involved. They had a couple shoot on the lawns, after they were done they enjoyed a romantic dinner in the restaurant. The views from Waterkloof are stunning, they look over vineyards and mountains with the ocean in the background.
