On the 29th January 2018, Rui and Joy got engaged!

Rui wanted to give Joy a HUGE surprise and as it was their birthday weekend, he booked a night stay at Tinswalo Atlantic. To add to the surprise weekend he wanted to pop the question on the morning of their departure. He said this would be the ultimate surprise for her as she would not suspect anything.

On the Monday morning as everyone else in Cape Town headed to the office, we drove to the beautiful Tinswalo Atlantic to do the set-up for their proposal. They were lucky enough that the tight was low and a very still morning. The sun was up but the beach was shaded by the mountain which created a beautiful backdrop. When we were setting up on the beach, there was a buzz of activity in the ocean. We saw dolphins, seals and fish. The dolphins were riding the waves right in front of the beach, we took this as a great sign.

Rui and Joy left their room and went for a ‘walk’ on the beach, only to find pink rose petals, pillows, flowers and some bubbly waiting for them. Rui popped the question and she said yes! As they were having photo’s taken, the dolphins decided to say hi again and were jumping in the waves about right in front of them. It was such a magical moment and one we will remember for a long time.

Joy and Rui morning beach proposal was perfect. We wish them all the best for a happy future together!
