Wedding planning - Wellington

On the 15th December 2014 Maryke & Richard got married!!

We first met this lovely couple when we planned their proposal earlier that year. They got engaged at the beautiful wine farm, La Motte in Franschhoek. Their wedding planing was the next step and we were honored to plan such a special occasion for this wonderful couple. The venue they choose to get married at was Kleinevalleij in Wellington, Western Cape. They had a small intimate wedding with about 50 people, their closest friends and family arrived from Joburg to join them for their big day.

It was a sunny summer’s day in Wellington, Maryke got dressed at the cottages at the venue, a lovely place for the bridal party to be pampered all morning. The ceremony was that afternoon on the lawns at Kleinevalleij. The venue room was set-up in a french themed style. Her colours she wanted were pastel pink and navy. The flowers used were proteas and roses. Maryke loved the idea of ribbons on the back of the bride & grooms chairs, a sweet touch to add to the table set-up. The venue is a blank canvas, so we tired using lots of lighting to light up walls and darken areas that were not needed. Each guest received a wooden board as a favor, these beautiful made boards had “Para Siempre” engraved in Spanish, meaning “forever”. The dinner was served to the tables on harvest platters. The food was delicious, a variety of dishes chosen by the couple. After some good speeches and the first dance, guests partied the night away to Afrikaans and English music.

Maryke & Richard, we loved assisting you on your special day and hope you enjoyed every minute of it. We had great fun planning it and also seeing you say your “I do’s” on the day.
