On the 12th November 2015 Mark and Kelly got engaged.

Mark and Kelly came out from the UK for a holiday. They spend lots of time in Cape Town and the bush. They are very adventurous so enjoyed all the Cape had to offer: skydiving, shark cage diving and paragliding. When Mark said he loved adventure we got very excited and suggested he propose in that way. However he had booked so many outings for them already he wanted to keep the proposal elegant and perfect!

The final idea was chosen, this included a helicopter flight and dinner at the 12 Apostles Hotel. He just loved the views from this location and thought proposing in the mountains would be ideal. We created sign boards that told a small message as they went up. Each board telling a memory they had shared together in their relationship. The last sign was the most important which said: “will you marry me?”.

Kelly had no idea what the plan was and after their week of  adventure she had given up on the idea that she was getting a ring in South Africa. They met 7 years ago and have been together ever since. All their friends and family tease them about getting married and Kelly even told us that she had given up on the idea. Little did she know that Mark and us had secretly planned this amazing evening for her!!!

The had a helicopter trip at sunset where they flew around Cape Town. A private car then brought them to the hotel. We had set-up the message boards leading up the path to the spot. They read each one and then he asked that magical question… She said YES! He wanted live music so Angelo played their favorite song as they entered. “Christina Perri – A thousand years“. Jilda, the photographer captured the proposal from a distance. We all came out to say hello and congrats to them! It was great fun and Kelly really enjoyed her special day. They loved the couples shoot and drank some bubbly to celebrate. When they were done a table for 2 had been booked at Azure restaurant. They watched the sun setting over the sea and celebrated their engagement.

We wish this happy couple a great journey together, they were so lovely to meet and we have no doubt soul mates for life. We hope they return to Cape Town again for another adventure, maybe even a wedding 🙂 Mark and Kelly proposal was something to remember forever. All the best!
