On the 29th October 2015 Jan and Morgan had the most amazing balloon proposal ever…

When Jan first got in touch with us, he had a lovely idea in mind. They would fly down to Cape Town for the day – 24 hours of excitement. Jan’s great plan  was to tell Morgan that his colleague and him were going down on a business trip, at the last minute his colleague would pull out and Morgan would have to go instead. This worked well and she was on the flight to Cape Town, oblivious to the fact the proposal would be later that day!

Once they landed in Cape Town, they enjoyed a lunch for two. As Jan was meant to go to his “meeting” he suggested a spa treatment for her, this was of course all prearranged. He dropped her off at the Spa in Steenberg and she enjoyed a Time Out Package.

Jan had told us in his Q&A that Morgan loved Balloons and pink! We jumped at this idea and knew the exact spot for the proposal. We used Beau Constantia, which is a wine farm in the Constantia valley. Its a stunning location with amazing views. We hired out the empty room and created the most amazing balloon proposal for Morgan! We used pink and clear balloons as decorations. These were tied at all different heights which filled up the empty walls. Once the set-up was done, it was time for Jan to fetch Morgan from the spa and bring her to the wine farm. He had brought her a new dress to change into, a lovely added touch.

On arrival at venue Jan lead Morgan down the path to the entrance of the room…he opened the door and wow she was blown away! We have never seen such a great reaction, there were smiles, tears and laughter! In her words… “Oh wow, this looks like Pinterest!” Morgan loved her engagement… She said YES!

The photographers captured the proposal from a distance. After the emotions had died down they enjoyed a photoshoot around the property. The next surprise was dinner in the room where they could enjoy the amazing views. Their flight was later that night so they left the farm around 8pm. A magical proposal that we will not forget.
