Hiking marriage proposal

On the 8th January 2022, Sandile and Tiffany got engaged!

We were so excited to assist this very special couple. He contacted us and wanted to plan a Hiking proposal. We actually don’t do many of these, but when we do we LOVE to plan them. The story goes like this: we book a photographer who pretends to be your tour guide. Most times these photographers are quite clued up on plants and flowers and obviously know the route up. They can answer some simple questions about the hike and its surroundings. We are on-site at times, either setting up at the top OR walking the couple up to meet the photographer, thus pretending to be a tour guide ourselves. These are so much fun, so the only person who has no idea what is going on is the person getting proposed to. (your secret is safe with us)

In this case, Tiffany was the lady who was merrily going for a hike, little did she know that at the top of the mountain Sandile would pop the question. Sian, our fabulous photographer was their tour guide and even had some bubbly in the backpack to hand over. The chosen hike was Kloof Nek Corner, this wonderful trail goes up the side of Table Mountain, and at the top, you look over Lion’s head, Camps bay, and town. The views are just too lovely fabulous for words.

On the day, Sian hiked them up (on a very hot day in Cape Town), once at the top, Sandile asked the love of his life to marry him. She said YES! Sian captured the proposal on camera as it all happened. This was followed by a photo shoot on the mountain.
