On the 6th October 2016,  Hennie asks Ria to be his wife!

They met in Bloemfontein through friends and have been together for 1 year and counting…

Hennie and Ria were coming to Cape Town for a holiday. Hennie, the romantic he is, asked us to assist him with his trip and make it extra special. The main event would obviously be the proposal. Their trip started off with them staying in Constantia at Silvermist. Two days later they stayed at Brenaissance and the last day they stayed at Jordan winery. At each venue we placed a flower and picture frame, the frame had quotes that Hennie thought described the way he felt for Ria. An example was “In you, I’ve found the love of my life and my closest truest friend”.  As they arrived at each venue, Ria was more confused and excited!

Hennie decided that the proposal should happen at Jordan Winery, which is situated in Stellenbosch. This winery has vineyards that stretch over a mountain, from here the views are breathtaking. On a clear day, you can see Table mountain and Lions Head. We had arranged a picnic at the top of the mountain for the proposal. Unfortunately, the weather did not play along so the picnic was moved inside to the cellar.

On their arrival, we saw the rain had passed and the proposal could happen on the mountain. A friendly staff member took them on the drive in a safari vehicle. When they arrived at the spot, we had placed cupcakes that said: “Sal jy met my trou Ria” Hennie went on his knee and she said YES!!!! Nicola who was very well hidden captured the proposal on film. There were tears of joy and excitement as Ria finally had her moment.

The couple enjoyed a photo shoot, once they were done, went to the wine cellar to enjoy a delicious picnic. That evening they went to Jordan’s restaurant to celebrate, while they were at dinner, a romantic turndown was arranged. Ria’s last big surprise of the holiday.

Hennie and Ria marriage proposal at Jordan Winery was a joyful occasion, we want to thank them for letting us assist with their holiday. We loved meeting them and spending some time chatting. Wishing them all the best for the future.
