Garen and Emmie garden proposal
On the 9th November 2019, Garen and Emmie got engaged!
We were thrilled to be part of this couple’s very special day! Garen had wonderful ideas and we just helped orchestrate them. We chatted about what they love best and Emmie loves flowers and the outdoors. His chosen venue was Kirstenbosch gardens. The gardens are beautiful this time of year, as it is springtime!
Garen left that morning with the excuse he was playing golf all day. He got dressed and left with his golf clubs in hand. Emmie was to enjoy a day out with her cousin.
The overall theme for the day was “ random acts of kindness” as this is something very important to Emmie. Garen recruited a few friends and family to help with the plans, as it was a morning filled with activities. The girls started off by getting ‘free’ bagels in Bree Street. After this, they entered the gardens and we handed over king Proteas as the next act of kindness. The girls continued on their walk across the lawn area to the picnic setup.
On their way, Emmie spotted the setup and “marry me” sign. She quickly started to duck and dive out the way as she was so worried about not disturbing a special moment, little did she know it was all for her.
Finally, she saw Garen, waiting patiently for his bride-to-be. He went down on one knee and asked that important question… “Will you marry me?” She said YES! They popped the bubbly and celebrated a very exciting moment! Her brother was their photographer for the day, thanks for sharing these photos with us.
