Durban sunset garden proposal

Durban Sunset Garden proposal

When Trevlyn contacted us to discuss the planning of a surprise marriage proposal to his girlfriend, Miranda, he was so very excited and yet just as confused about how he wanted the proposal set up to be done.  After much discussion about the various options available to him, he settled on a private garden set up including Miranda’s favourite flowers, which are sunflowers, and for a photographer to be in hiding and ready to capture their initial reactions as well as having a couples engagement shoot in the garden thereafter.

Unfortunately, on Tuesday 27 June 2023, Durban experienced torrential rain and howling winds and so this meant that we needed to make alternative arrangements as postponing the proposal event wasn’t an option for Trevlyn.  We managed to set up indoors while having the backdrop of a gorgeous 100-year-old indigenous milkwood tree.  As soon as there was a break in the treacherous weather, the couple took to the garden in order to get part of their photoshoot completed there as originally planned.  This happy couple were not fazed by the weather, and they made the most of their time in the garden when the rain stopped.  Their proposal was full of love and laughter and an infectious joy surrounded them as they were definitely the calm in the storm that evening.

Well done to our Durban team on making magic happen in such tumultuous conditions. Congratulations on your engagement Trevlyn and Miranda, we wish you all the best for a blessed future together.
