Durban Marriage Proposal

In Durban, when we plan outdoor events during Summer, we live on multiple weather apps and check and re-check them frequently as the risk of rain really needs to be considered and a backup plan needs to be in place.

This Durban marriage proposal was planned to be in a tranquil garden setting at sunrise, however, the skies opened and it poured with rain throughout the night.  We arrived to set up in the rain and the gardens were soaked.  Nonetheless, a plan had been made and we transformed a sheltered and private outdoor veranda into a romantic haven for our couple.
On their arrival, Prenesan told his girlfriend that he was fetching someone while she waited in the car out of the rain.  We led him to the setup and he waited for her arrival while we went to fetch her.

She was totally surprised to see him on a bended knee surrounded by rose petals and a display of photographs that told their love story. The photographer, Courtney, was there to capture the moment for them. As soon as Prineece said YES, there was somehow a magical break in the rain! The sun tried to shine through the clouds and it was exactly what our client needed to get photos done in the garden. We all ran downstairs into the garden to continue with the photo shoot. Our couple had so much fun and laughter and it was really an enjoyable shoot with constant quips about how everything was such a well-planned surprise.

Congratulations on your engagement Prenesan and Prineece, may the rest of your lives be filled with as much love and laughter as you experienced at your very special proposal. “A life lived in love will never be dull.”
