On Saturday 5th July 2014 Claudio and Chantelle got engaged! The most incredible Silvermist Mountain Lodge marriage proposal!!!

They flew all the way from Joburg for one day to have a Cape proposal! When we first spoke to Claudio he wanted something in nature as they both love the outdoors. He wanted them to be surrounded by forests, mountains with lovely views. We arranged a cottage at Silvermist as this is the ideal spot for their one day adventure to start and end.

They flew in from Joburg that morning and had a quick breakfast at Tasha’s. He choose Tasha’s in Constantia as this was where they first went on a date. (Tasha’s in Joburg for Breakfast – so that was very cute to add into her special day) They arrived at Silvermist and he wanted to propose in private on the deck. He felt she needed some time alone with him. Surrounded by nature and the sounds of the forest, he popped the all important question “will you marry me?” Chantelle was overcome with joy and said YES!

We had set-up a lovely picnic lunch for them in one of the Silvermist cottages which has a cozy fireplace and candles burning. They warmed up and enjoyed some bubbly to calm their nerves. We brought lots of flake chocolates which are her favorite. The photographer arrived after this and they did a couples shoot all around the property. Capturing some very special moments!

Once they had finished we suggested they drive the long way round to the airport, which took them through Hout Bay, over Suikker Bossie, past Llandudno, and into Camps Bay. They stopped and enjoyed the views points along the drive. Next stop was the airport and back to the city of gold, Joburg. They really enjoyed themselves and what an adventure! They had also never been to Cape Town before so this might be love at first sight.

We wish them all the best in their new adventure as becoming man & wife. What a very sweet and special couple who deserve only the best.
