On the 7th April 2017, Chris and Ryan got engaged!

It was the most beautiful sunny Cape Town day, we had a week of rain before the date but they were so lucky it all cleared.

All the way from Hong Kong they came to South Africa on holiday. They travelled to most areas and had a fabulous time. Chris decided that he wanted to surprise Ryan while in Cape Town with a marriage proposal. He really wanted to include fun things as their schedules were so full. They had been together for four and a half years so the time was right. They met in a bar on a Thursday night so they decided to keep date nights to that. How sweet. 🙂

They both LOVE the outdoors and beach, Chris decided this was the chosen location as they were staying close to Clifton. He wanted messages hung up to show how much he cared. Each message had a story behind it and a very special meaning.

They also LOVE music so Angelo was booked to play the guitar and sing some of their favourite songs. The idea was to be “walking along the beach and bump into this picnic” and this is exactly what happened.

On the day, they walked along the beautiful beach of Clifton. Once at the rocks, the photographer and singer got ready to serenade them. As soon as Ryan saw the set-up, Chris asked that magical question, “Will you marry me?” He said YES. They watched the sunset & drank some bubbly, then went for a romantic dinner together.

The funniest story about this proposal was that Ryan turned around and said he was going to ask Chris in the next couple of days to marry him, just not so well planned. It was a laugh a minute with these two guys!

It was such a happy and exciting proposal. We honestly loved meeting them and listening to their funny stories. They have led such fun lives and will continue to do so in the future. Chris and Ryan beach proposal will be remembered for a long time. Wishing them all the happiness in the world.
