Bianca and Wesley Wedding Day

On the 3rd December 2016, Bianca and Wesley got married!!

We are so excited to share this BEAUTIFUL wedding with you. Bianca, the bride and friend asked us to help her arrange the last few details of her wedding. She had done most over the months they were engaged but it was important for her that it all ran smoothly.

Bianca and Wes met while working on the boats, a very romantic story! They both love the beach, ocean and being outdoors so their wedding needed to reflect all these aspects. Grootvlei in Lamberts Bay was the chosen venue. The West Coast was Bianca’s dream location, they shared many happy times there. Grootvlei is an outdoor venue and you have the option of getting married right on the beach, with the sand between your toes. A lovely way for these two lovebirds to tie the knot.

As they had invited lots of guests, the inside venue was chosen for the reception. A rustic structure that suited Bianca’s theme so well. She opted for beach styled, relaxed atmosphere, whites & greens, wood, air plants, succulents and bringing in the West coast foliage. Wilinda from Hanekom Sisters did a great job of turning this venue into Bianca’s dream wedding. There were so many small details, from cork name tags to a world map seating chart.

On the day of the wedding, they started it off in true beach style, the boys went surfing, while the girls got dressed. The love and happiness that filled the air was amazing. We all know the West Coast weather can be poor at times or in most cases windy. They were so lucky as it was a windless, sunny day. The ceremony was set-up on the beach, a few deco items were added such as ropes on the arch, and mason jars along the aisle. Bianca walked down the aisle to Bon Iver – Beach baby, a song that was suited to the occasion. Once all the I do’s were done, the guests headed to the “beach bar” for canape hour.

A market scene was created inside by using hay bales, bunting flags and little stalls. Wes’s family provided fresh fish to the caterers, they served sushi and canapes on boards. The food and drinks were all so delicious, guests were raving about it.

The West Coast played out of its boots for Bianca and Wesley’s special day, they had the most amazing couples shoot with the sun setting in the background. As you can see from the photo’s the scenery was breathtaking. As the guests moved to the reception area the sun set and the wedding reception began. On the tables were personalised wooden boards to keep as wedding favours. The caterers served a mouth-watering buffet that filled hungry guests. Fairy lights shone down as Mr & Mrs Bartho opened the dancefloor. The party continued late into the night!

Bianca and Wesley Wedding Day was filled with love, happiness and laughter. We really felt the joy of these two coming together to be husband and wife. We hope they share a lifetime of happy memories. What a HOT couple 🙂
