On the 22nd February, Ashen asked Rushanta to marry him and she said YES!
Ashen first contacted our team looking for the most romantic ideas to propose to his girlfriend, Rushanta, on their four-year wedding anniversary. They both love hiking, reading and enjoying a good glass of wine together and Ashen knew he wanted an elegant proposal. He asked for our Ideas Package and we put together six romantic options for him to choose from. He chose the Munro Boutique Hotel in Houghton for their amazing views and their indoor garden conservatory that is breath-taking. Ashen joined us on a site visit there the week before the proposal so that he could picture where and how he would propose.
It was a rush for Ashen to get Rushanta to the Munro after work on Friday, but they made it! We had decorated the conservatory with a pathway of rose petals and candles, with a gold Marry Me sign hanging in front of the beautiful red bridge. Rushanta’s favourite flowers are light purple roses which we missed with proteas for a gorgeous proposal bunch. Bubbly was waiting for them on ice.
They arrived to check in for their night’s stay and we asked them to take a seat in the bar while we collect their bags. Ashen disappeared to wait for Rushanta on one knee and then we lead her through. As soon as she saw Ashen, she said “Finally!” and pulled out her phone to capture a picture of him on one knee before walking towards him. It had us all laughing 😊
They were all smiles during their celebrations and photo shoot with the lovely Leandrie. They then enjoyed a three-course meal before retiring to their room with a balcony that looked over the whole of Joburg.
Ashen and Rushanta romantic garden proposal was stunning! We wish the two of them all the best for their upcoming wedding and lives together.
