On the 27th March 2016, Allan and Penny got engaged. They celebrated with the most beautiful sunset beach proposal. Allan and Penny’s sunset beach proposal was one to remember for a long time.

When Allan got in contact with us, he knew that he wanted to surprise Penny with a dream proposal on the beach. The couple were traveling down to Durban for the Easter break so this was the perfect timing to surprise her. We decided to have the proposal on Christmas Bay in Salt Rock as this beach provides the perfect setting with rock pools, waterfalls and sweeping views along the coast

The picnic set up included a line of red roses in the sand with a photo of the two of them pegged to each rose. We made wooden letters with their names as the backdrop to the picnic, sprayed in Penny’s favourite colour. We also included bowls filled with all of Penny’s favourite sweets on the picnic blanket, champagne and a beautiful bunch of red roses.

When Allan and Penny arrived on the beach, she was blindfolded, so he carried her down the stairs and slowly walked her along the beach to the set up. This build-up was incredibly romantic and we can only imagine the excitement that both of them were feeling. When he removed the blindfold Penny was in front of the set up, Alan then got down on one knee and popped the question. After she said YES, they enjoyed their picnic and had a photoshoot together. The pictures really say it all with what an incredibly happy occasion this was.

Their friends then arrived on the beach to celebrate with the happy couple. Allan and Pennys sunset beach proposal was a very special occasion for all.

We wish Allan and Penny all the very best for a happy future together filled with love and happiness.
